TR Readers: Cast Your Votes for the Transformers Hall of Fame!

UPDATE: Hasbro has clarified that real humans are not eligible for fan votes. Fictional humans like Spike Witwicky still are. I’m extending the deadline till midnight tonight in case anyone wishes to edit their vote accordingly.

I’m delighted to announce that we are one of the sites that is going to have a say this year in which robots make it to Hasbro’s highest level of honoriffic for Cybertronians. In comments below, leave your top three choices – on Friday at noon I will compile them all and send our top 5 picks to Hasbro.

The following (most obvious) choices are already in: Optimus Prime. Megatron, Bumblebee, Starscream, Dinobot (Beast Wars), Ironhide, Ratchet, Soundwave,, Waspinator, Grimlock, Shockwave, Jazz, Wheeljack, Beast Wars Megatron, Ultra Magnus.

I’ll go first: seems to me the key players in the animated movie ought to be in there, so Unicron, Hot Rod and Galvatron seem like gimmes. Other obvious choices might be Optimus Primal, Devastator and Arcee. Our votes will be sent to Hasbro and ranked alongside those from other sites to make the final choices, to be announced at BotCon in June.

Note that it is not limited to robots: HUMANS are also eligible, so if you want to vote for Spike Witwicky or Frank Welker, I presume you can. If you vote for Shia LaBeouf you will be mocked, but I will count it.
