SDCC 2015: Max Landis on Superman: American Alien

At yesterday’s Superman panel, DC announced a whole slew of info about upcoming books featuring Big Blue. Neal Adams is doing a Batman: Odyssey style book (read: batshit crazy, with possibly enormous implications for supermanscaping) about Superman fighting off Kalibak and an invasion force. Also announced: a new series from Max Landis and a rotating group of superstar artists titled Superman: American Alien. Landis reportedly said on the panel that he “.sort of wanted to do the opposite of All-Star Superman.” So presumably a dour, heartless story that sucks anything fun or light out of the Man of Steel.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be released on March 26, 2016.
