This is actually a trailer for a fan-made, CG-animated movie called Arkham, which increasingly useful TR commenter Arsenal says is set 10 years or so after The Dark Knight, directed by Paul B. Frieling. There's not a ton to it, but I have to say that I think the voice of Harley Quinn is just perfect, exactly how I imaguned her voice to sound in my head. No disrespect to Arleen Sorkin, since I think she was perfect for Quinn in the Batman animated series. But this -- this is how I think she should really sound.

This one is going to be good. Im glad they went the animation route because Heath really redefined the joker and feel noone could out do him. The animation looks to be good enough to create some box office dollars and be entertaining enough to drag in non comic fans...only burn is that Mark Hammil is the voice of Joker. He better not screw this up...for total cast and tidbits see IMDB.com.

...that's it? I guess that'll teach me to read the comments before watching the video. Pretty cool, but I wouldn't start talking about throwing away a kick-ass, billion dollar director for that.

It is impossible for the voice to be better then Arleen Sorkin since the character was MADE FOR HER.
-
Why can't they give us both. Keep Nolan for the live action movies and give Paul the animated in between like Gotham Knight to the first one, only one full length story instead of several?
-
Sadly I have to agree with ZeroCorpse - I won't dredge up more average memories of Wolverine, I'm sure we have all seen it, but this was blinding. And just for the record...why all the hate towards Nolan? With TDK he has given us the best superhero film ever, one that pleased fans and the general public alike (which is no easy feat) and yet some are calling for him to be replaced. This animation is very good but if I don't think it warrants dropping Nolan from the franchise. If he has passion and ideas for a third where is the sense in not letting him do it...?
-
It's sort of sad when a little YouTube video is better than Wolverine. Yep.
-
It's good to see talent such as this making headway within the industry. I've found more of Paul Frieling's work here: http://www.koales.net/ I can't see why he wouldn't get a shot at making a full length feature for this concept if he already hasn't been awarded the opportunity. He's obviously beyond capable of such a project, not to mention he's captured some of my favorite characters of the Batman franchise so perfectly.
-
I've always dreamed of them making a batman movie in the same vein as the Arkham Asylum TPB I have by Grant Morrison and Dave McKean. Anyone that doesn't own it should go out and buy it right away.

In you face Nolan Fan Boys!!! In your Fu%&ing Face!!! .... To the guy that made this... Thank you. Whether it's made or not ...thank you
-
I agree with Manbearpig on this one. DC/Warner needs to rethink for a 3rd Batman film. This guy is spot on. 10 years after TDK! Genius! I'm really not interested in a 3rd Nolan film to tell you the truth. Let's get someone new. I would hire this guy.
-
This film MUST be made!! This looks amazing! I would pay good money to see this! PLEASE!!!!!! DC/Warner needs to ditch Nolan and hire this guy. Not that I don't love Nolan's Batman, but let someone else bring something to the table. Come on DC!!!

In the words of Jim Carrey: JOY-GASM!
-
This is the creepiest Joker I've ever seen. He builds on Ledger, of course, but the incessant facial tics and apparent inward thinking make him even more disturbing. Kudos.
-
10 years after Dark Knight? The first door the camera pans by is for "DENT H." Looks cool though.
-
Damn, that was impressive! The voicework, in particular, was very good. That's always a sticking point with me, as voicework in many animated movies and TV shows, even big budget ones, is often poor. This sounded very natural, and I really enjoyed it. I really hope this does get made; it just has too much potential to waste.
-
Oh my god....epic! I hope this is more then a trailer, I think the voice was spot on in how she altered also, people don't seem to realize her iconic voice isn't even the character's actual voice and people who knew her in the comics picked up on it

This is a film contest winner from fellow comic/movie site www.bamkapow.com . There is a whole interview that I did with Paul. He's an all around cool dude and even better, a fellow Detroiter. Check out the interview: http://www.bamkapow.com/bam-kapow-s-fan-film-contest-winner-arkham-3077-p.html Much love to TR for helping good work get around!

This looks freaking awesome!

@ jeff then you have no taste

I would need to see more of the character models in action to judge. The Joker one looks okay, but the lack of movement and the quality of the video doesn't give much to chew on. I don't know how you can say this voice actress is better than Sorkin... Not that this actress is bad, but they just sound pretty much alike. The only difference is that this actress is playing it more down to earth while Sorkin's Harley is almost always in screwball mode, which is probably something she could change if she had to.
-
That just made my Friday. Thanks TR.
-
This needs to happen. If we can't get live action Joker/Harley, at least we will have this.
-
*brain splode* Can we donate money to this guy? Cause srsly, I'd give a a few bucks to help, this NEEDS to be made! Does anyone know who's doing Quinn's voice in this?
-
Holy frickin' crap. Follow this! Please, I'm begging you to post any scrap of info you find about this thing. That was astounding.
-
That was sweet and looks to be a good idea for a sequel. I think something smaller than a giant summer blockbuster would be a great way for the Batman movies to go. I've wondered about how the lives of the "good" people on the boat went after they wanted to kill the prisoners. Would they be able to look at themselves in the mirror? Something a lot more character based to really get at what the Joker did to Gotham would be really interesting.
-
Good god i hope this is actually going to be made. I think a CG sequel to Dark Knight would be f'n great!
