If anything has made the G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra movie worthwhile, it is this video (yes, way more than my FAQ). It's a Funny or Die song about what the Joes and Cobra troops do on their night off, and it's funny/wacky/zany/whatever. But please check out this abbreviated cast list:

Somehow I missed this video for 2 years...but I'm a huuuuuuuuuuge fan so:Answers: 1. This volunteer cast in a REAL movie would cost $300 Mil - just for THEM.2. This DOES prove that a fan can make a better movie than the studio though. And I'm not sure the cast would really be necessary. No, where the studio REALLY blew it was in the costumes. The best part about GI Joe....zapped with leather jumpsuits! And these guys did it with NO money!3. Never happen but...they could take these costumes and cut the cast...cast nobodies and they'd have a real shot at gaining fans back. I mean the Cobra Commander in the Movie was AWFUL - the most pivotal character in the comics/cartoons.4. I think where studios often blow it on these adaptations, just as they also did with A-Team is they focus on making an action movie. But...they should really be making COMEDIES...A-Team with Steve Martin as Hannibal Smith in the slapstick theme would have really worked! GI Joe and A-Team is not really about action but nostalgia and OVER top absurdity (airplane backpacks, etc) sort of like Roger Moore's James Bond...

Holy shit! I'd sacrifice my cat to see a cast like this in a Joe movie. Even the costumes are great. Which brings me to say I'd rather see low-budget, spot-on costumes than high priced accelerator clown suits...anyways. Liddell as Gung Ho! Henry fuckin Rollins! But that Vinny Jones Destro was rediculous, I almost shit seeing him dancing with that clarinet. Pure genius!
