Your life is terrible. Why? Because you're not Mary Bynum, whose girlfriend made her two dozen incredibly fantastic nerd-based cupcakes (nerd-cakes, if you will). The Autobot and Ghostbusters one in particular make me want to get on me knees and curse god for my nerdy cupcake-less existence.

I too live with Mary and her amazing girlfriend. I kept Nix company for half the time she was in the kitchen making these. It was really awesome watching her work and I learned a lot. Also I ate the Autobots cupcake and while it was delicious I felt so guilty about destroying something so awesome.

As one of the roommates to Mary and her amazing girlfriend. I can vouch for the awesomeness of these cupcakes. Had some friends over on Sunday and celebrated her birthday. It was really difficult to eat/destroy one of these masterpieces. Most of them still remain. I ate the Venom one! The Ghostbusters one is just breathtaking.

Glo Worm (no "w" on glow) 3. It's JEM not Jam. This one hurt more than all the others. Jem is truly, truly outrageous & should be adored by all. Boy or girl. Synergy, bitches! @Lord Alvarez It actually is red, the camera just made it look orange for some reason. She used the same fondant for that one that she used on the Ghostbusters and Autobots cupcakes.

To answer questions... - Ex Machina (my own design, because no way in hell I was going to replicate the yin/yang with Pherson's tiger), Ghostbusters, Green Arrow & Black Canary, Red Lantern, Venom Imperial symbol, Nightcrawler, Quicksilver, The Punisher, Thundercats, HANK FUCKIN' PYM Decepticons, Elongated Man, Deadpool, Power Girl, Tony's arc reactor, Captain America, Autobots Rorschach, Green Lantern, BPRD, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, The Flash - The orange tint to some of the red designs is a combination camera flash and having mixed the red fondant at 2am. - Yeah, they were made out of Fondant. The fondant was flavoured with different essences so it tasted excellent, despite the still plasticy texture. - And yes, GIRLFRIEND girlfriend. No My Little Pony cakes, sad to say. - Ghostbuster!cake will never be eaten.
