Get it? Because it's set in New Orleans? I can't be the only one whose dad watched the Cajun Kitchen on Saturday mornings, right? Oh, fuck you all. It's been a long week. Still, this Left 4 Dead 2 trailer -- which is mostly in-game cinematics, admittedly -- looks incredibly fun, and even if you don't enjoy these types of games, it's still a nice dose of human-on-zombie violence to start your Friday.

I noticed they were fighting on what appeared to be the Danziger bridge, with a veterans highway exit. The game if it was set in N.O. should have some effort in accuracy. BTW if most of the Battles take place in N.O. the Danziger bridge is close to the lower nine, which would make the amuzement park they were in the old Jazzland park. Which are both in or near New Orleans East. The Veterans blvd exit is 30+ miles in the opposite direction. Sorry, I'm from N.O.. I'd still buy the game though. I'm just Irked that there is no accuracy, could you imagine how cool it would be to be from an area and see that area reproduced in a game, especially zombie apocolypse style.

I gotta call BS is anyone is claiming that as in game footage. That looks way too polished even for a cut scene. I played a bit of the first one on a friend's X-Box. Was pretty good, but it did seem a bit light on content.

Melee weapons replace the pistols not your main weapon. @Captain Drano: it's only for PC and xbox, Valve doesn't do ps3 games. Also, Boner!

The only thing I really dislike about the game is that the range of melle weapons replace your main guns. Yeah, you still got your pistols/dualsies, but my understanding is those are getting a nerf(rightfully so... dualsies were better than the uzi and some situations were even better than the M16). So, while chopping some baddies with a chain saw sound great, what good is it when the tank-ish new guy shows up?

@Arsenal: Yeah, I realize why it's taking so long for ME2 to be released, and I'm totally okay with that. Considering their track record, I have no problem waiting for anything from BioWare. That was sort of my point. Waiting isn't bad when you want a good product/gaming experience. @Aggie: I did the math on that... you're 15/16? I guess that makes sense, then. I was pretty impatient then, too. At least the game looks badass, right? @NeverPlayedWOW: Because guys who wear baseball caps (or trucker hats) 24/7 deserve to die.

I actually played 2 levels of this game while at SDCC this year. You guys will be extremely happy at the way it will play out. And it's more than an update like so many people cried about. 539

@RobP Well, I bought the first one when it came out and played through it quite fast. So the "age" would have be between that and right now. Seeing as Left4Dead was released November 18, 2008, it's been 339 days and about 4,6 % of my life.

@Rob P Well Mass effect does take a bit longer to make, and has gotten ushed back but I can not wait for that one either. At least Dragon Age comes out in 2 weeks so that is going to be awsome.

@Aggie: How have you been waiting for this game "for ages?" Didn't the first one come out last year, or the very end of 2007? Talk to me about waiting when Mass Effect 2 comes out. This trailer looks pretty rad, though. Never got around to playing the first one, but if this trailer were for a movie, I'd pay to go see it. I guess I'll have to settle for seeing Zombieland tonight, instead. w00t that.

The game play with be a update L4D gameplay, and it my friends was awesome. Plus the biggest bonus is there is a level in a carnival where you kill xombie clowns, my god I am going to play that section untill the disk has a hole burnt into it

As a Zombie Rights advocate I object strongly to the vitalist nature of this game, reinforcing cruel stereotypes of our post-vital friends is not cool. Looks fun though, I wonder what the gameplay is like?
