Remember those "Automatic Mario" videos from a little while back? Where folks would program an elaborate Super Mario World level that would send Mario from one end to another, using the sound effects of the game to make music? Well, the reason people quit -- I assume -- is because they heard this video was coming out -- a four-part monstrosity of awesomeness covering Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now." Yes, four Mario levels have been synched to make the song, and not just with music, as you'll see if you watch the whole thing. Thanks to Luke W for the tip.

It was alright, but ive seen one that's about 10 minutes long and the mario sound effects are alot bigger part of the song, as opposed to just sorta playing along with it.

Man, I'm a little disappointed whenever Topless Robot takes from brother or sister blogs, or vice versa.

I beg your pardon? This was a tip from a reader.

I guess it was just a coincidence, then. My bad.

No worries. The video apparently got around over the weekend, but I promise I received that email well before Joystick Division posted their article. I have no problem stealing content from 'em, but never without credit. That would be a total dick move.

Why? Why Rob do you insist on posting things that are either so awesome or so horrible that they break my mind?
My long tortured psyche barely has time to mend between insanity like this and whatever inevitable Japanese fetish oddity or FFF you will dish out next.
My mind reels all over again when I think that the amount of time that goes into projects like this could surely cure cancer if put to anything more productive.

What the hell was that? I felt like I just had a seizure in front of my old nintendo. And there are MORE of these? And this one is the standout among them? Jesus, Queen deserves better. Far better.

Geoff replied to Not Impressed:
... we are talking about the same Queen here, right?
Because between this and the Muppets video, I think Queen's actually getting more tributes than they'd expect.

I was just thinking the same thing.
I also can not listen to this song without thinking of Shaun of the Dead, my favorite non Star Wars movie.

That was pretty amusing. Probably took a while to get that working right. It's interesting to see the nerdy ways people do things.
I wouldn't mind seeing more videos like this.

It was a lot of noise.
And I still don't understand the Internet's fascination with Mario. I really, really don't.

Because he's Mr. Video Game, and a standing icon of many of our childhoods. What I don't understand is why you dislike him so.
Bring that mustached bastard on forever, I say!

This is further proof that one man's "awesomeness" is another man's "monumental waste of time".
