In glorious black and white! Because it's an animatic! I have no idea where this video comes from, other than it's David X. Cohen and some of the Futurama staff speaking on stage at something or other. Still, I'm not going to let ignorance stop me from showing off some horrible bootleg footage of the long-awaited Futurama season 5 -- in fact, I rarely let my ignorance stop me from doing pretty much anything.

Most reports say that they weren't holding out for more money, they were just (originally) fired because Fox didn't want to pay the same money they were paying before (when they could pay inexperienced folks less). Wiser head's prevailed.

The video was recorded on October 4th at the 2009 San Diego Comic Con by Twitter@technomensch, and he upload it to TwitVid. A few days later it was downloaded and uploaded by the Futurama fans at YouTube.
There's another version of this video with better image but crappy sound.. but I don't remember where.

I was concerned for a while, but that is classic Futurama comedy gold. Fry being stupid, the Professor being absent minded, the situation going from bad to worse: all essential parts of Futurama. If the whole season stays that funny, I know I'll be tuning in.
