Hope the guy who snapped the picture was careful. We go to the German toy fare in Nuremberg every year and shooting pics is very much VERBOTEN! You get thrown out of the building for that. I've seen it happen.

This is the nerdchild version of supercars, you dream about it, maybe they make a poster with it, and if it finally becomes in reach, it is dads and dads alone, just like the supercar (or the vintagecar) will be kept in locked garage, the AT-AT will be kept in a special room only to be tinkered with on Sundays.
In short to all AT-ATowners let your children play with them (under supervision of cause, its freaking rad)

Because the people setting it up don't care at all. Unlike the New York Toy Fair where the actual designers are there. The Marvel Universe display at this same toy fair had Archangel's wings on Colossus.
The New York Toy Fair gets an actual display for the fans to see. The international ones tend to just be a quick "Here's the damn toy, order it already" setup.

Wrong. The AT-AT was just entering testing and production during the Clone Wars. Kenobi's forces were the first to test it out, with limited deployment elsewhere.

And if it didnt have clone wars on it-- they wouldn't have gone to production on it..

Because they wanted it as large as possible while still being capable of selling at retail, not to mention staying in one piece. Plastic isn't metal by any means. Making it full size would require it to both be made of some pretty sturdy metal and way too heavy to sell in toy stores.
