Clark, I know you're not the sharpest Kryptonian in the shed, so let me save you a lot of time and trouble -- Ozymandias did it.
Guys, don't forget that I'll be live-blogging the two-hour Smallville: Absolute Justice event this Friday, starting at 8pm. Do I know anything about the JSA? Not at all. Have I seen an episode of Smallville in the last five years? Nope. Will that stop me from being a bastard? No chance. However, Smallville does have the advantage in that if it's even slightly coherent and not utterly boring for both hours, it will be a marked improvement over this season of Heroes. (Via DC's Source)

Holy crap... that was pretty badass. Seeing the star rod in action and Fate breaking out the ankh powers was nice. Plus Hawkman with his mace. Nice. If only the show had embrased its DC roots, I dunno, half a dozen or so seasons ago.

It HAS to be better than the Watchmen movie. Not that it takes much to surmount that cinematic nugget, but still.....
I'm with you as well, Rob. Tom, just put on the tights and be done with it. We're not going to be mad. Even if it makes your ratings plummet, it was a good DECADE run, right? Most shows never even manage that!

OH OH I've been seeing commercials for this. I haven't seen an episode in forever. I used to be into it... and then Lana turned into a lesbian vampire and I started watching Supernatural instead.
Haven't been let down since...

Speaking of Watchmen...you know who I wish they'd put on the show; even if just once? The goddamn Question! They've already turned Green Arrow into their Batman stand-in, and that's fine; but if they were to bring in the Question, they could do an actual mystery, with an actual detective that can solve it.
Bonus points if he never takes off the mask, and is voiced over by Jeffrey Combs, since even though the JLU version of the character isn't exactly accurate...he was a lot of fun.
Um...the Question was the basis for Rorschach...for those wondering where this little rant came from.

"The things on the end of your shoelaces are called aglets... and they serve a sinister purpose!
(best JLU Question quote, imho)

Let's just pray Clark doesn't burst to tears all of a sudden. If so, the episode could be not that bad.

Since I'm a. not going to be home on Sunday when this airs in Canada b. am NOT going to review this for the blog and c. have to house-sit for the gf's folks on Friday, I might subject myself to this for the live chat and attempt to solve Rob's befuddlement blindfolded.
Unless we get The CW now as part of basic cable. Any Rogers customers know for sure?

I got news for you Rob, Heroes has sucked for more than just this season ;)
It's about time people figured out Kring is making the show up as he goes along with no definite plan for anything. The result is as you expect: A muddled mess.

Aww, the bastards kill Golden Age Sandman right off the bat? He was the main reason I was looking forward to this thing. I have never watched an episode of Smallville, but I am planning to do so just to see the JSA. Naturally, they have to ruin it by killing my favorite character. Why not kill Mr. Terrific or Hour-Man instead?
