Oh Hai PSP2

?Sony revealed its second next-gen portable gaming system, what you and I and everyone will be calling the PSP2, but which Sony is calling the NGP (as in, Next-Gen Portable, I shit you not) for the time being because they’re Sony and ridiculous like that. Kotaku has all the specs, but I can give you the good stuff:

? Two analog sticks
? A touch-sensitive screen
? It’s a Sixaxis, meaning it recognizes its movement and tilt and speed and what-not
? Cameras in the front and back
? No UMD bullshit (finally)
? It ran Metal Gear Solid 4, so it’s significantly closer in power to a PS3 than a PS2
? There will be an Uncharted game for it

It won’t be out in Japan until winter, so it’ll probably hit America in 2012. I can’t find a price mentioned for it, but if Nintendo’s charging $250 for the 3DS, then I feel like Sony has to charge at least $300 for NGP, if only to remind people that it’s more technologically advanced. Of course, they could charge $400 for it, too — the damn thing’s pretty much a mini-PS3.
