I went to the Uniqlo store in NYC to meet and get the autograph of game legend Hideo Kojima when they premiered a line of Metal Gear Solid shirts for the MGS Peacewalker game that just came out. Aside from the amazing MGS shirts I also got some stunning Evangelion ones. They had some One Piece, DBZ and a few others already. These shirts are an even new line of manga and anime ones. Plus Uniqlo is pretty fairly priced for such shirts.
I was going to get excited about their Stand Alone Complex shirts, but I saw no Tachikomas, so why bother?
Uniqlo is such a bad ass store! I went to one with my friend Nana while I was in Shibuya. I bought an awesome Evangelion shirt there!
The Omote-sando Uniqlo in Tokyo runs limited-edition anime shirts. They did a Shonen Jump collaboration a few years ago and I caught a Spriggan/Project Arms shirt (but missed the Golgo 13!).
Last time I was there they had the perennial faves One-Piece and Evangelion shirts as well as Ghost in the Shell SAC. Some of 'em are over-logoed, but some are hot to death.
I believe they collaborate with a pretty decent graphic design studio to make the graphics because some are pretty good.
Less is more in this case. A number of those Naruto designs could've benefited greatly from leaving off some of the gratuitous graphics. I *really* liked the nukenin (rouge ninja) shirt with the different hidden village symbols crossed out until I noticed all the akatsuki assembled all over the bottom of the shirt. Totally unnecessary. Why can't we have cool shirts that have some subtlety as opposed to looking like the fat guy with the loud, collared Dragonball Z shirt? *sigh*
They so missed an opportunity by not putting a portal on the moon. I would quite like the three disassembled robot designs though.
No, Uniqlo clothes run rather large since they cater to fat American and Chinese tourists. On par with American Apparel sizes.
I can't say I have. Thank god. Pick some other chain that caters to the great american land behemoth then. I haven't been to the states since the 90s.
I'd like the moon one if it were three of something else that makes sense, rather than the turrets. Still pretty cool though.

So tempted by the t-shirt designs at Uniqlo. Especially the one with Shanks and Luffy on. Plus my student loan has come through! Do I spend the £20?
Uniqlo also has an offer on at the moment in the UK. All the anime shirts are 2 for £20 and you get a free Naruto dvd from Manga UK.
Uniqlo also has Neon Genesis Evangelion t-shirts. They're pretty cool. The fit's about the same as the t-shirts you get from Threadless, etc.
yes sir, that is correct. i have one actually because uniqlo is dope as shit. half my shirts come from them. i also have a godzilla vs. geedorah shirt from them, but my favorite is my casshan shirt. they do they anime thing from time to time. last time i saw akira toriyama stuff, they were doing the original dragonball series.
