The Ghostbusters HQ Might Be Up for Sale
So New York City is considering closing the fire department that works out of the firehouse used as the headquarters in Ghostbusters. There are two sets of people upset about this: nerds and the people who live near the firehouse as they, you know, would kind of like a fucking fire department nearby. I understand the latter, but not the former. If the city closes the fire department, that just means some rich nerd or group of nerds can buy it and, at the very least, put up a big light-up Ghostbusters sign outside, so it looks official. Maybe put an Ecto-1 replica in there. Surely there’s one rich nerd who would want to make this happen, right? Thanks to everyone for the tip. (Via the AV Club)
