I may be sick and tired of playing the same damn Mario Kart game on Nintendo consoles and handhelds, but when I saw these new Mario Kart K'Nex tracks, my nerdy heart skipped a beat. I mean, look at the Bowser's Castle track up above. God, it makes me want to be 8 again and stomping the hell out of my little brother on our electric racetrack. The Mario Kart-ness is just an added bonus. Here's the rundown of what's currently available at Toys "R" Us (these are exclusives, after all):
Mario Kart Wii Bowser's Castle Ultimate Building Set from K'Nex
• Gamers can reconstruct a portion of Bower's multi-leveled castle from Mario Kart Wii with this 650 piece set. After connecting 26 pieces of double-wide track, fans race Mario in his Standard Kart, alongside Luigi in his Wild Wing Kart to avoid Thwomps, Fireballs and Podobo Cogs! The set also includes four collectible items that can help or hinder racers - a mushroom, green turtle shell, banana peel and Bullet Bill. 4 "AAA" batteries required (not included). Ages 6 years and up.

Mario Kart Bowser vs. Fireballs Building Set from K'Nex
• This 122-piece set expands on Bowser's Castle by adding King Koopa - Bowser himself - to the track. Kids can construct Bowser, along with his Standard Kart before speeding through a fireball obstacle. Two collectible items from the game - Bullet Bill and a red turtle shell - add to the fun. 2 "AAA" batteries required (not included). Ages 6 years and up.

Mario Kart Mario and Yoshi at the Finish Line Building Set from K'Nex
• Mario Kart enthusiasts can pretend they're racing towards a photo finish as Mario and Yoshi get ready to complete the Mario Circuit Track from Mario Kart Wii, each in their Wild Wing Karts. Using 317 pieces of track, builders can create a closed loop, complete with finish line sounds. Two collectible items from the game - Bullet Bill and a red turtle shell - can help prevent either Mario or Yoshi from finishing first. 4 "AAA" batteries required (not included). Ages 6 years and up.

Mario Kart Mario vs. Delfino Oak Tree Building Set from K'Nex
• While zooming along the Mario Circuit, players have to get past the Delfino Oak Tree in this 139-piece construction set. This portion of the course comes with Mario, in his Sprinter Kart for an extra boost, as well as two collectible items from the game - a banana peel to trip Mario up and a mushroom, which grants extra speed. For even more fun, kids can add the Delfino Oak tree set to the Mario Circuit finish line for even more racing fun. 2 "AAA" batteries required (not included). Ages 6 years and up.
Please note that these have been out for a little bit, but K'Nex just released the promo pics, which is why I'm only posting them now (because I've just now seen them); ToyNewsI has pictures (of the packages) of the other sets at the link. Please also note that the idea of a mushroom providing extra speed on a toy racetrack or being able to fire Bullet Bill at an opponent on a toy racetrack BLOWS MY MIND WITH AWESOME-OSITY. I have no intentions of stealing children at any point soon, but if I happen to, rest assured it's only to have someone to play with these Mario Kart K'Nex with me. Nothing weird.
