This seems much better than Onechanbara if only because it's fucking Suda 51 and James Gunn. Hell, the two of them working together blows my mind.
I keep telling myself I'm done posting Lollipop Chainsaw videos -- the game from Suda51 and James Gunn that thinks Bayonetta is too high-brow -- but they keep getting me, man. Look, any time a girl decapitates her (hilariously unprepared) boyfriend out of love (and also zombie infection), I'm going to post that video. And if the video shows additional gameplay, like how the cheerleader can kick her boyfriend's severed head at zombies as an attack... well, I'm not made of stone, people. (Via Kotaku)
More links from around the web!
I expect nothing but good things from the guy who game us Slither collaborating with the guy who gave us No More Heroes...
Actually that is untrue. I expect nothing but AWESOME from the two.
Sex sells... Even if the product is yet ANOTHER zombie fighter game. I wonder how many (VERY lonely) guys will buy this just to look up her skirt, ogle her figure, look down her cleavage, or look for the nude sequences/nude game codes they are convinced are in the game. And worse yet... Some studio will likely make a direct-to-cable or direct-to-DVD movie based on this game just so they can run the infamous casting couch scheme on starlet-wannabes in cheerleader outfits.
Jesus, this game looks all sorts of awesome.
But I've been fooled before by Zombie Game Trailers...
*cough **cough* Dead Island *cough*.
I just finished that game.. holy shit.. what a turd... at least I got it on a big sale and played it online with friends so we enjoyed even the bad bits in a MT3K way.. but.. holy hell.. was that game game breakingly buggy at times. No excuse for that.
I have hopes that this will be a better game, even if simpler and smaller.
BAHAHAHAHAHHA! Oh, this is awesome! It's like someone hopped up Zak Snyder on quaaludes and made Joss Whedon write down everything he said and made Robert Rodriguez direct!
Ok...I only had a passing interest in the game till this video.
FUCKING TWILIGHT SPARKLE IS GONA CUT A ZOMBIE BITCH!!!
Sorry...I kind of have a thing for Tara Strong
So, I guess she gives head.
Thank you! I'll be here all week! Be sure to tip your waitress!
So to recap: This is a video game from Suda 51 & the writer of Slither where a Twilight Sparkle-voiced Sexy Ash fights off legions of zombies with a chainsaw while being assisted by her boyfriend's magical severed head.
...
Also Bubbles from "Power Puff Girls", Rikku from "Kingdom Hearts", and Barbara Gordon from virtually any animated Batman show since "TAS".
I was getting Rikku confused with Kairi, in my head. Though to be honest, there is a character in the game (albeit a guy) named "Riku", so that's where the confusion stemmed from.
Wait wait wait....."Rikku from Kingdom Hearts"? That's like saying "Donald Duck, from Kingdom Hearts".
FFX, man.
The decapitated wisecracking head reminds me of Zombie Deadpool, just y'know without the cancer, zombie cancer, whatever.
Also tits.
The more videos you post, the more I want to get this. But it seems way too fast paced and too flashy after she attacks for me to follow.
I like that she cut his head off with no hesitation or permission whatsoever. Next time I decapitate someone I guess I'll have to remember to tell them that it's okay because I'm saving them from the zombie apocalypse.
Although the game looks mechanically fun; I don't think I can honestly see myself playing it. I'll stick with my Bayonetta. That's as ridiculous as I can manage in this genre.
Remember how you used to post all those MLP: Friendship is Magic videos? Yeaaaaaah...
You know, considering the other big deal release is FFXIII Part Deux, I think I'll be rooting for Lollipop Chainsaw instead, thank you very much. At the very least, this game actually let me CONTROL my own character, instead of watching the action taking place inspite of me rather than "because of me.
Maybe Rob just has a hardon for Tara Strong. I'd hate to see him reacting to a MLP/Lollipop Chainsaw mashup, like hinted in the last video.
...Seriously though, someone needs to make that video.
... Is it acceptable to have a hard on for Tara Strong? No reason, just asking. Yep.
Completely fine. Especially if you've seen some of her pictures she posts on twitter. Wowee.
