So after the international trailer for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and the Korean trailer for G.I. Joe: Retaliation, why not go for three with this new international trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man? Although it's mostly the same footage, I found it overall a lot more appealing than the U.S. trailer -- I honestly don't know if it's the new footage, or it just has better pacing, or if the first trailer was just fucked by me seeing it so quickly after the Avengers trailer. Probably the latter. Olivia Wilde could have offered to give me a tongue bath after I saw the Avengers trailer and I'd have been like, "Yeah, in a few minutes, I just want to pause and see if I can figure out what's riding the flying motorcycle thing."

Avengers Trailer >>>>>>>> Spider-man Trailer >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Olivia Wilde tongue bath.
Because you don't know WHERE that tongue has been! XD
I don't really care where her tongue as been as long as I'm getting some. Also, this trailer rocked.
Ya know what ruins it for me? Denis Leary. I blame my college days, but I keep hearing him sing Asshole no matter what he's in.
That is fabulous idea, how even, I can not imgagine what the situation there is like.
Oh man, I don't even like women in that way, but I would take a tongue bath from Olivia Wilde over the Avengers trailer. Granted, I would watch the trailer afterwards. :)
Olivia Wilde? I'd take the chick who has to do her makeup because she hasn't gotten her modeling break yet giving me a tongue bath over an Avengers trailer.
Tongue baths RULE!
Every time I watch that clip of SPidey in the car with the car theif I always feel like I'm watching a scene from the original Ninja Turltes movie. I don't know why. I think it's cause his eyes make him look like a foot soldier.
Man, I'm never going to see that one shot of Spidey swinging and not hear Jean-Ralphio saying "I got run over by a Lexus". I'm not sure how I feel about that.
I maintain that no matter how good or bad the final film turns out, the mere existence of this movie is a big fuck you to Raimi and everybody who worked on the original Spider-Man trilogy. That said, I'm actually pretty fucking excited about this one. For me, the pros (Spidey actually cracking jokes, great-looking special effects, some awesome actors, actual webshooters) outweigh the cons (that dumb-ass haircut, the miscast Sally Field, and focus on Peter's parents).
The international trailer doesn't seem any different to what I saw attached to The Phantom Menace this weekend (yeah, yeah I saw it out of curiousity of how a 3-d Star Wars would look like; hope they do a better job with the other films conversions. Alot of scenes still looked very FLAT.)
Anyways, I really enjoyed the Spidey trailer.
That Lizard introduction in this trailer made me feel like I was reading that issue of Spider-Man #1 by Todd Macfarlane.
It really does flow better. I'm excited for many reasons, one huge factor being the Emma Stone to Kirsten Dunst ratio. That being Emma is attractive versus Kirsten being a horrible choice for any female lead in any movie ever, much less MJW.
Are there any other people out there who just downright dislike Kirsten Dunst? I know she's done a few good performances (Virgin Suicides, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind etc.) but I just cannot stand the woman. Seems all kinds of smug and obnoxious to me.
I am one of those very people. Seeing her bony, scraggly haired, Buscemi grill ruining the role of MJW really cemented my dislike for her. I don't recall MJW ever, EVER being drawn to look so hideous in a single Spider-man comic, regardless of the universe. Hell, the neighbor girl that lived across from Peter in his building was more attractive, and she really wasn't.
I meant "hideous" in comparison to the depiction of Mary Jane Watson that we've all grown to lust over in the comic book realm... And I don't think anyone finds her attractive. 'Nuff said.
Hey, I personally don't find her attractive but it's a bit much to describe her as hideous. She's good looking and actually a good actress (she was great recently in Melancholia and I will defend Bring It On whenever I must) but she just wasn't right for MJ. When she and Tobey were on screen I just didn't feel like I was watching Peter Parker and Mary Jane. There was no spark there.
I really don't see the point of this movie. There should be a law that reboots or remakes of movies or TV shows have to wait at least 10 years after the last movie or TV show originally aired it's last episode.
