I hope that the other figures in the line will have the classic styling of the old Battle Beast figures, with their pseudo-high-tech armor and sci-fi look. If they all just look like furry-based sword-and-sorcery characters, I probably won't have much interest in the line.
I have one of the BB promo figures they were giving out (same guy, just translucent red instead of grey) and while they are defiantly more articulated (knee, waist, elbow, and neck) and detailed than the old figures, it also feels softer and rubbery, and his sword and his hilt on his back (which you can put the sword in) bend very easily. Also, his hands come off at his forearms a bit too easily. They aren't loose, but they aren't tight either. It could just be the material they used to make it translucent though, and not indicative of what the final products will be. Still really cool though, I just wish they kept the holograms.
I can confirm that is Penagos...finding a way to get covered in stories that aren't even about Marvel! the man is a machine.
They were discussing the Avengers mini-mates in the next case, which looked great but I couldn't get an answer as to the pair of Loki's army dudes in there and what they were supposed to be.
Where's the heat-sensitive sticker telling me its strength?! How am I to know what it can defeat and what can defeat it? Am I just supposed to use my imagination and make something up?!
Actually I'd say they're Marvel vs Capcom minimates since I see Akuma AND Modok quite clearly.
