I really don't get why Rob promotes some of these products. They're sold by individuals ripping off someone else's intellectual property to make a quick buck without paying licensing fees.
Buying unlicensed t-shirts is the same as buying the Calvin pissing stickers... Nobody authorized it, and the creator is getting screwed out of their share.
Please, Rob, if you're going to do this geek apparel thing, at least stick to officially licensed products (and I do appreciate you having one here). It makes me ill to see people profit from someone else's work, and as a self-described nerd you should have some respect for creators and copyright holders.
Hey! The Sesame Street/Avengers tee is officially licensed too! It's from "Jack of All Trades". All of their stuff is - original designs and great quality too. Check them out.
@Nix_Nightbird:disqus - Agreed that it's important to support the artists. Jack of All Trades only carries officially licensed products and we do all the artwork ourselves.
I was all set to buy my wife that Leia hoodie for her birthday, but it only comes in small and medium. WTF?
There's also a "My Little Chocobo" shirt on sale today for 11 at http://theyetee.com/
Am I the only one who think's Ashoka's the most interesting character in The Clone Wars? Dude, she wields double lightsabers, freaking backhanded! The only fighting style that was any cooler was General Krell's, but he had four arms.
Yeah, moving her character forward has been the biggest positive of the series (aside from all the movie tribute episodes).
But, still... she's gotta die. Or turn and die. Within the show - I don't want her CGI'd into one of the Order 66 scenes of ROTS in the 3D release in lieu of actually writing her off properly, but you know that's a possibility that's in play.
She is interesting, but I just keep waiting for the event to happen. Something has to happen to her unless she is going to magically show up in the post movie media all well and good.
Of course I laugh at her style, Vader's Apprentice in Force Unleased Back Hand style saber, TFU2 duel back hand style. Is that just the style Anakin likes to teach people?
She's started to grow on me a bit now, but I think the writers were planing to off her(or they were trolling a bit).
It's a 50-50 split; on the one hand, we know Order 66 is happening. There's little to no doubt about it. George won't suddenly can it, even if it means producing less Ahsoka merchandize; since Order 66 happens, it's assumed she either dies or disappears.
For the moment, I'm assuming she dies and that ends up triggering Anakin's turn to the darkside. I'm not sure how her disappearence would do the same, unless Cad Bane was involved. And nothing Cad Bane is involved in is ever a good sign.
But we'll wait and see. 'till then, I still need to catch up to the current season of everything.
Pretty much. She's either gotta die or disappear for it to work.
And as for Ashoka, I've definitely warmed up to her character since the original film. She's become a legitimate character now and not just the audience stand-in.
Though I think at this point, Ventress is a more interesting character given her development in the last couple seasons.
