The first 20-30 seconds or so reminded me, at least in tone, of early Castlevania NES games. Without the 8-Bit music.
Someone made an animated tribute to the Evil Dead trilogy in the style of the recent Mondo movie posters. I... I'm not sure what else to say, other than it's pretty groovy and hits most of the highlights from all three films. I suppose it could have stopped in S-Mart for a minute, but that's just a thought, not a complaint.

They claim that it is a tribute to that fan-made movie poster for The Evil Dead. I'm not sure which came first. I would say the poster came before "Cabin In The Woods", but since that movie was delayed for so long I can't be sure.
The ending of my EVIL DEAD animation was inspired by a poster created by Olly Moss, which Mondo put on sale back in 2010. Back then CABIN had been filmed, but not released, so it's just a happy coincidence. (I can't speak for Mr. Moss, but I believe the hand is a nod to the fact that undead hands popping up out nowhere is a reoccurring EVIL DEAD theme). And if you've somehow missed CABIN IN THE WOODS when it was in theaters, find it when it comes out on home video -- it's astoundingly great.
I feel like its missing an epic shot of Ash with his chainsaw hand... Was that a nod to Cabin in the Woods at the end?
