see what i did there?
So that's what the 3-D rerelease was all about. Variety reports that Steven Spielberg will produce the fourth dinosaur theme-park film in 3D, of course, with Rise of the Planet of the Apes duo Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver scripting.
Assuming it's not a total reboot (honestly, a bigger-budget, more faithful-to-original book version is surely not out of the question, except that the number "4" probably means otherwise), who should come back? I'm all for more Goldblum, but not so much his raptor-kicking gymnast daughter.
More links from around the web!
"Clever girl..." Or in this case, I suppose it would be a boy. Sad news to those of you hoping for the actually decent first film and deliciously campy second and third movies. I heard about this earlier last year, and it had something to do with the military and laser guns. True.
RUN. THE HILLJACKS FROM SCI-FI oops, sorry -- SY-FY HAVE GOTTEN THEIR MEATHOOKS INTO WHAT USED TO BE AN ACTUALLY DECENT FRANCHISE.
Yes, the Dinosaurs become super intelligent because besides frog DNA a scientist also used his own DNA as well.
Here's a sneak preview.
I wonder if that one really amazing shot of Laura Dern's ass will be rendered in glorious 3D.
@doctor_mindbenderThis is valid i think...

"More faithful-to-original book version?"
Even author Crichton was crap in sticking to his original plot: remember how Ian Malcolm clearly died (like, once post-dinosaur attack, and reiterated by the author - "They wouldn't permit the burial of Ian Malcolm") in the original and he was resurrected for literally no reason in the sequel other than to be the star and have something in there about "his demise was exaggerated" or some such junk.
I remember it turned me off Crichton for quite awhile after picking up the second novel and finding out a dead man was the star and he wasn't some kooky dinosaur-hybrid clone.
@Kozmik_Pariah If you read the forward to the second book he pretty much says "don't read this"
of course jeff goldblum and i'd love to see samuel l jackson return (as a cloned arm)
@DrAbraxas Better - instead of frog DNA, this time they fill in the gaps in the dinosaur's genetic code with Samuel L. Jackson.
@LYT @DrAbraxas but then the T-rex would roar out MUTHAAAAFUCKERRRR instead of just ya know a normal roar.
@FreeHat @LYT @DrAbraxas Now now.......Jurassic Park was quite possibly his only clean role..........The T-Rex would roar out.....HOARLDONTOOYOARBUTTTTTTSSSSSS!!!!!
