I do wonder how long this has been sitting on a shelf. I know its technically part of season 5, but they included a lot of shots from the Halloween episode thats already aired.
So the L Ron Hubbard joke... are they trying to get Venture Bros sued off the air forever? Or after South Park it's open season?

Where can I see old Venture Bros? Is it on Netflix? Also should I even bother? I'm a huge fan of Archer and Bob's Burgers so are we looking at equal ground here.
@Canadian.Scott It took me a long time to get into it. The humour is unique and things like the dialogue and scene transitions can be jarring and off-putting at first but it's well worth sticking with. The Monarch is a truly magnificent comedy creation.

BEST SHOW ON TV in my opinion. I love Bob's Burgers, but Venture Bros. is still better.
If you do seek it out (Preferably via DVD/BD, since it's not on Netflix) make sure you watch them in order. There IS continuity to this show, and watching out of order would provide a lot of spoilers and make a lot of jokes not work.
But yes. It is TOTALLY worth the time to watch it.
@nix.nightbird @Canadian.Scott I must admit that I enjoyed it at first (I think I only discovered it second season while involved in a mid-night service call at UGA) but the main characters have become much less interesting than the side characters IMO so those episodes that follow the main characters fall a little flat to me.

yeah, it's totally worth tracking down, and if you like those shows, you would probably like Venture Bros too. There is a lot of dialogue-driven humor and lots of wonderfully nerdy pop-culture references (they're all well done, unlike something like Family Guy now). Like Archer and BB, the comedy is about what happens in between the "obvious" stuff. With Archer, they show missions, but a lot of the comedy is with the support staff or with the stuff that happens during the down time. Similarly, Venture Bros talks about what happens between all of the "adventures" of a child adventurer (like Johnny Quest). It's basically showing the comedy that happened in between each Johnny Quest episode back at home. It has a hugely deep history and mythos, and wonderfully, events that happen in season still impact things in season 4. The writers are (thankfully) huge sticklers for continuity, so they definitely do their research when writing new episodes.

They make the quip that it's been 2 years, and then almost play it off like it was a struggle to get it back on the air.....Season 5 was green lit March 2011, so after a terrible S3 Boxset, an extremely repetitive S4 with an awful (awesome) finale.....I'm finding myself hard pressed to be excited about a show that's been off the air for 30 months.....and not in the Futurama "Yay we got it back on" sort of way......more the Battlestar Galatica "we finally got around to it" sort of way.
