Wait, Is Star Twerking a Thing Now?

Here’s the thing about me, I’m not much of a dancer. Earlier this morning I was listening to a mix that included everyone from James to Sage Francis while doing dishes. Without realizing it, I started moving my legs rhythmically while singing along. I tripped over my left foot almost instantly and took a stumble. This resulted in one broken Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom glass and a bruised ego. I will never be cool. I will never have “the moves.” And you know what? I am totally at peace with this. I have other skills. For example, I know a lot about The Prisoner and MTV’s 120 Minutes. But me on a dance floor? It’s not somewhere I want to be, and certainly isn’t something you want to see. If the shit hits the fan, I will not be a part of your Dance Dance Revolution.The point I’m trying to make here is that I can’t turn the beat around like the choreographed nerds in the new video by ScottDW (who brought us the twerking Stormtroopers video awhile back). This plays like a J.J. Abrams-directed sequel to Step Up and I’m completely baffled by it. But if you dig getting your dance on while making Scotty jokes, you are going to absolutely love it.
