G.I. Joe Resolute Is Resolutely Awesome

Oh. My. God. Someone finally threw up a (surprisingly good) bootleg video of the G.I. Joe Resolute footage shown at SDCC, and man, is it good shit. Now, this is supposedly test footage, so 1) it's not supposedly to end up in the actual cartoon, and 2) I don't know if Warren Ellis write it (there's like five lines of dialog anyways). But what you will see: 1) Joe and Cobra soldiers firing real guns; 2) Cobra soldiers actually dying; and 3) Snake Eyes killing the shit out of a Cobra soldier after he's down. It's a sublime joy.

I don't know what the fuss is with this whole G.I. Joe thing but one of those guys in the bunker looks like The Major's side kick in GITS. Still very kewl clip!

hells ya! This is GI Joe all grown up.

It's sad how excited a simple twist of a knife can make some people, myself included. This is going to be so much better than the movie.

Oh, and Xander's comment makes my head hurt. "One of those guys in the bunker." Sigh.

Sigh. Xander represents the future. We might as well resign ourselves to it.

That looks better than I'd hoped. I was expecting the same sort of kind-of-trying animation that's been in the recent Marvel animated movies. The style is wild--it's got gall, some might even say it's got guile. To continue the paraphrasing, this is going to step inside the G.I. Joe Movie's party and disrupt its whole scene.

I must throw in with zach, the fact that snake eyes not only kills one of the cobra, but does so brutally excites me greatly. The movie is going to be sweet, but i'm forced to wonder, if cobra soilders are dying, then are joes going to be able to make it out of the tank just before it explodes?

Yeah, so I just jacked it in my pants right then. Looks awesomely violent!
