DVD Day: December 28th, 2010
?? Resident Evil: Afterlife
On DVD, Blu-ray, and Blu-ray 3D. Oddly, while Amazon lists the Blu-ray as starring Milla Jovovich, Wentworth Miller and Ali Larter, it only lists Jovovich and Miller as starring in the DVD and Blu-ray 3D versions. I find this infinitely more fascinating than any other aspect of the actual movie, although I should point out I don’t find it that interesting.
? Archer Season 1
The best cartoon since The Venture Bros.? Yes. Buy it on DVD, so maybe FX will think twice about inevitably canceling it after season 2.
? Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood Part 3
As someone who’s only seen the original FMA anime, none of the synopsis of this set at Amazon made the least bit of sense to me.
? Battlestar Galactica: Razor
On Blu-ray? Finally? Maybe?
? Cyborg Conquest
“After completing a string of high-profile robberies, a group of
beautiful but deadly biker girls led by the fearless Lady (Stacey Dash,
”Clueless”) collide with a bar full of mysterious robots disguised as
humans.” Well, of course they do.
? The Killer Robots and the Quest for the Cosmic Potato
I don’t know what the hell this is, or why it’s being released on Friday, January 1st, instead of today, but it apparently stars the band THE KILLER ROBOTS as themselves and only costs $10, so… enh, why not.

He brought the site to prominence with “nerd news, humor and self-loathing” as its motto, raising it from total internet obscurity to a readership in the millions, with help from his savage “FAQ” movie reviews and Fan Fiction Fridays. Under his tenure Topless Robot was covered by Gawker, Wired, Defamer, New York magazine, ABC News, and others, and his articles have been praised by Roger Ebert, Avengers actor Clark Gregg, comedian and The Daily Show correspondent John Hodgman, the stars of Mystery Science Theater 3000 and Rifftrax, and others. He is currently the managing editor of io9.com. Despite decades as both an amateur and professional nerd, he continues to be completely unprepared for either the zombie apocalypse or the robot uprising.
