• Huh. I didn't know Rorschach was Jack the Ripper.

• Scary to be sure, but comparing it to Jackie Earl Haley is unfair. I think JEH did an incredible take on Rorschach in the movie, he even looked exactly like the character. It's called "acting." Moore's take is a "reading" of it, similar to Vincent Price reading Poe's The Raven. It's not acting or VO for a film. After 10 minutes of this reading in a film, it would have been boring as hell and added another hour to the movie.

• I can't figure out if Moore was meant to be a sociopath to begin with, or if writing stuff as dark and creepy as Watchmen and V for Vendetta made him that way. Like Stephen King believing that a monster demon actually lives under his basement stairs. Always mental, or slowly converted by years of living in his own twisted psyche in order to write down stories? It's the classic chicken or egg conundrum. Ah, well. Moore's still brilliant. Medication would probably hinder his creative process.

• Hell yes. Maybe the DVD release of Watchmen will have an Alan Moore overdub option. Sweet!!

• Yeah...thats how Rorschach is SUPPOSED to sound. unbalanced,out of synch,a weird almost alien monotone. As opposed to the Christian Bale Batman/Cough Drop commercial version of Rorschachs voice we got in the movie. I know most folks loved the hell out of Jackie Earl Haley in the movie,but he just wasnt weird enough or scary enough to me.

• @Newt I'm pretty sure that's intentional. I doubt he's doing an homage to Karloff's Grinch, but doubtless he's trying to sound as unbalanced as possible.

• That's pretty scary. I find it odd that he's all over the place in the cadence of his reading. Like, he's missing pause cues and such. He wrote the darn thing, you'd think he'd know how to read it. He sort of sounds like Boris Karloff reading the Grinch.

• I heard, word on the street, that either the next League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Volume or a later one was supposed to be a drama sung and recorded on a record by Alan Moore. That would make it the scariest audio book of all time.

• You know, I loved the Watchman film. I particularly like the actor who played Rorschach, and his depiction of said character. I always Moore was being a cranky bastard about the movie. .....Now, I think he may have a point. Excuse me while I find some clean underwear.
