We saw one preview, but now DC has released an official trailer for their next animated DVD movie, Crisis on Two Earths (it's been a very trailer-y day, sorry) and... yeah. I'm still looking forward to watching it, but this trailer didn't excite me as much as the previous preview, maybe because it's just a more basic rehash of the premise for the common folk (i.e., people who weren't nerdy enough to buy Green Lantern: First Flight). Of course, the problem might also be that they didn't allow Billy Baldwin's Batman to speak in this preview. His dulcet tones and immense talent could have added so much more to this clip. I guess they're saving all his glory for the final project. (Via The Blu Ray Blog)

Looks fun to me. Might be worth renting. This reminds me that I need to watch some of the other animated DC films, since I've missed most of them.

Is it just me or does the evil Superman sound like he’s from Jersey?

I would vote for Slade Wilson. Nobody would fuck with us if he were actually president.

That's how you know Ultraman is the evil Superman...he sounds like he's from Jersey.

Ultraman sounding like he's from Jersey (I agree, specifically Hoboken) is oddly appropriate.
Interesting that I can only pick out six Earth-1 league members - the Aquaman (comics) / Hawkgirl (TV) slot appears to be missing.
Also, Evil Flash is wearing the Zoom suit, which is a great touch (and echoes a VERY obscure trivia point from JLU).
Looks to be very much in line with the Earth-2 GN, although I'm guessing some of the more Morrisonian quirks (evil Flash being a drug addict, etc.) are going to be played down.

Blah. I'm spoiled on Kevin Conroy doing Batman. Anyone else is bland to me.
As for the Earth 2 bit, unless it's going to be as dark and whatnot as Morrison wrote it, i'm not going to pay for it. Maybe just download it eventually when I get bored.
Ultraman was supposed to be a astronaut, not that NJians can't be NASA members, but I just always pictured him to have a almost flyboy voice, with hints of condensation because of his gaining powers in space.
Meh.

Hmmm, we Jersey folk may get a bum rap, but at least we know the difference between "condescension" and "condensation." :-/

so far it looks interesting and no doubt dc had to cut certain things from the source material like the evil flash needing to shoot up . if nothing else i see the thing as a test for a future movie version of crisis on infinite earth or the other crisis
