• This is why Trek fans will always rule. Even when there's a fun (and may I admit quite hilarious) video about how Star Trek > Star Wars they still need to point out the inaccuracies with how the Enterprise is there/firing/displayed. <3 Star Trek

• Gecko Tom Paris (from the Voyage episode "Threshold") is pretty close.

• This is completely incorrect! The USS Enterprise did not have quantum torpedoes and exiting from warp inside an atmosphere would cause catastrophic damage to the planet! WRONG! In addition the Enterprise is clearly seen firing phasers from the bridge structure... BLASPHEMY! But seriously, this was a funny video, and the effects were really well done for Youtube short.

• Considering Lucas filmed those credits in space in the 70s, I'm surprised it took them this long to fall out of orbit. Hell, even SkyLab didn't last that long.

• Oh yeah, in Best of Both Worlds, Part II, when the Enterprise-E tried to use it on the Borg and oh my god I'm still a geek.

• I dunno... the render job and animation on the Enterprise was pretty much on par with the acting.

• The deflector dish has been used as a weapon before, I think. Just not to such extremes.

• While "Star Trek V" and "The Phantom Menace" both make me want to kill, Jar-Jar Binks is far and away worse than anything Trek ever produced, and I'm including every holodeck accident and time-travel mishap.

• Ah, that explains why my parents left me in that burning building!

• And again I say, the deflector dish on the Enterprise is not a weapon. I would have thought the special effects would have been easier had they actually used the phaser banks, but I may have missed something watching it at work with no audio...

• Unless you watch Voyager, where they seem to have the yield of a small hand grenade.

• Ridiculous...firing photon torpedoes in an atmosphere, above a populated planet. Each one of those wee bairns has a 60+ megaton yield!

• Having an issue with the color of the dude's shirt. Shouldn't it be red?

• don't know if you watch the Simpsons (assuming you do as I assume most who read TR probably do) but last night's episode (1/31/10) should have given you quite a fix of the Wilhelm scream when Mr Burns was shooting all those nazis in the video game, lol!!

• Man, Star Wars is so much better than Star Trek.

• LOL they even worked in that scream (1:28) that is used in every movie, the Wilhelm Scream.

• They all got broken up in orbit. And if you don't buy that, then a wizard did it. Besides, we're all missing the most glaring technical flaw of this film; The Enterprise coming out of warp in atmo? Hahaha, I don't think so.

• There's one in every group that you secretly want to leave behind in the apocalyptic style catastrophe.

• I feel sorry for the guy they decided clearly wasn't valuable enough to save. Some friends they turned out to be!

• Great mini flick. Nice effects, too!

• Man, those special effects are awesome. If the acting wasn't total donkey balls, this'd be a pretty cool video.

• Speaking as one of the Old Ones (over 60), I have personally never made a choice. I have always loved both franchises for their differing views of space adventure and romance. I did, however, enjoy this short video. That took some imagination for the initial premise of the whole thing.

• Shouldn't "Star Wars" be backwards, if it was headed towards them?
