This person -- and countless, countless friends -- recreated the opening of A Goofy Movie in live-action, shot for shot. I have five questions for those responsible:
• Why?
• Was A Goofy Movie your first choice?
• No, seriously, why?
• Wouldn't a heroin addiction have taken up less time and been more respectable?
• Were there any off-camera romances? (Via /Film)

Utterly moronic? Really? Are you shitting me? Don't be a hypocrite, you complain about me saying something about others opinions, yet you bash my opinion. The "what have you done?" is for the people that just stink up the place with negativity and have not done anything remotely creative. The fact that you say there is "no requirement" to do something to have an opinion on that thing is right, but to have an educated opinion of it, you damn well have better. Thanks for blowing your idiocracy out of your ass. Good day sir. P.S. Please go get laid!
-
This is awesome! I loved that movie... now I must rent it on netflix to relive the experience.
-
I made it almost a full 1.5 minutes into this thing before I couldn't take it anymore.
-
That was adorable. I was eleven when AGM came out and I absolutely adored it, so this little remake makes me feel all nostalgic and happy.
-
I really hope they'll do Eye to eye and Stand out too! :)
-
That was actually pretty damned awesome... the guy playing max is, yes, quite punchable, but eh. And I'd forgotten about the goth chicks on the bus... probably amuses the hell out of me now (having been goth, punk and finally settling on misfit) than when I first saw the movie, when I was just the quite geeky kid who sat by himself at recess.
-
What.
-
I don't care about this particular video one way of the other, but referring to people who express their dislike of something as "hating" or "haters" is utterly moronic. Negative views of something are every bit as valid as positive. Not to mention the whole "What have you done?" part. There's no requirement to do something to express an opinion about it. In fact by making something available to the public, such as posting it on Youtube, is to invite criticism both positive and negative.
-
Oh, wow! I loved that movie when I was a little boy! And there is no conceivable reason why anyone would think this would be a good idea!
-
That FFF broke Goofy for me permanently, I think. Actually no, not the fic. Your "I Know My Way Around A Cock" LOLGoof. Specifically. Ya bastard.
-
This x 100. Actually pretty shiny for a fan video/school project, whichever it was.
-
What horrified me the most about this video was the girls lack of a belly button at the 53 second mark. Sure the cartoon chick didn't have one, so its scarily accurate....but geez its not an attractive look.
-
In before the Disney Lawyers...
-
To be honest, it was pretty well done, but I don't think it gelled too well. You just loose too much when you take out the animation, when you switch from cartoon to live action. It was a decent attempt, considering the budget and number of people participating, but you just can't match the original animation. Though I guess for some glee club this was a pretty neat project. Surely better than other songs and musicals they could have done.
-
The only shame is that it took this long for anyone to replicate the perfection that is The Goofy Movie.
-
Awww, Rob, don't be a hater! :) A Goofy movie was a great choice--Good musical number, and the kid didn't exactly have the budget for sets for it to be some other Disney feature (how many other Disney films take place in Suburbia, and don't have superheroes, toys, or animals as their main characters?). He knew a lot of kids, and he had cheap, easy-to-shoot-and-travel-to locations. You have to hand it to him for getting all of the costumes so accurate, too. The details in this are really great ^_^ He took what he had and he worked with it, and without a fancy budget, either. For that, I commend him, and really hope he does well in the future. Can't wait to see what else he comes up with! And a Goofy Movie isn't such a bad movie--In fact, it's pretty darned enjoyable, even this long a time later!
-
I think those kids did a brilliant job!
-
I found the sped-up parts of the video annoying, but it's still awesome overall. Kudos to these upstanding youths!
-
no shit, I read that FFF last week.
-
I shouldn't have said ALL the hate, cause most of the comments are love. so...why is there ANY hate, and blahblahblah
-
I loved this!! Max could've been better, but kudos to these kids for having the drive to follow through with such a silly idea. Awesome. I remember being a kid and slicking my hair up in the shower and belting out my best "EYE TO EYEEEEEE!" And why all the hate dewds, specially you Rob? Out of all the random crazy shit people have made and you've posted, you ask why to this?
-
I always thought the weirdest part of the Goofy Movies was that they confirmed that Goofy has sex (or at least had sex) and that his little guys can swim. WHO WOULD LAY WITH HIM????!!?!?!?
-
Was posted on 4chan last week... pretty awesome stuff. Both of the Goofy movies are great. Powerline damnit.
-
THIS IS SO AWESOME!!! :D
-
MUST HAVE BEEN A SCHOOL PROJECT. THAT'S THE ONLY THING THAT MAKES ANY SENSE.
-
If they ever got the extra money to do a full remake.. they could probably get Pauly Shore to actually be in it, for nothing more than a six pack and a hand job.
-
A Goofy Movie is freaking awesome. Definitely held up a lot better over the years than about 80% of my nostalgic favorites(ESPECIALLY Beetlejuice).
-
That may be the coolest thing I've seen in a month. Not wild about the movie choice, but a fantastic accomplishment.
-
I hope you all know what this Goof Troop love means, don'tcha? It means Rob's going trolling for some hot Max/PJ action. You have been warned.
-
wow...... that was.... different. but still enjoyable due to the fact that i love A Goofy Movie. i need to get that movie. eventually.
-
this is the best thing i've ever seen
-
This is incredible. Goofy Movie is a classic. It's like the Citizen Cane of the 90s
-
Yeah, I was just finishing middle school when A Goofy Movie came out and in college when An Extremely Goofy Movie was released, so like a lot of people, they "fit" my generation. Bonus: I graduated in 1999, so I also really love the American Pie movies...
-
Wow this was GREAT! I loved (still love, actually) A Goofy Movie and most of its cheesy songs. I will blame this on my upbringing to love almost all things Disney. Almost. But this totally made my day. Makes me want to listen to the other Goofy Movie songs now XD I am especially impressed by the number of people involved in this and their 'imagineering'
-
that ruled! I may not have seen this goofy movie, but the sheer amount of work that this took, was just amazing.
-
I feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
-
My cousin was obsessed with this movie and she was 13-14 when it came out. I was 11 back in 1995 so this movie was in my age range, and I loved the soundtrack. Movies about roadtrips bore me all around, but over ten years later, I downloaded this songs on my computer and still listen to them.
-
I'm guessing "The Goofy Movie" was chosen to get the support of the school used in the shots . . . after all, it's Disney. And it's pretty damned impressive. That kid's got a career ahead of him.
-
I still love A Goofy Movie (and its sequel) and thought this was surprisingly well done. Even if you don't like it, at least it's not yet another shot for shot Twilight tribute/parody.
-
You stay away from my pie tin!
-
If you wanted to do a shot by shot remake of a cartoon you and your friends all were all familiar with, a Goofy Movie wouldn't be the most random choice. Actually, it would be quite inspired. The soundtrack overlay takes away any need for acting, dubbing, and audio editing. The character designs are easy to emulate because they are just regular people "Goofy style". Plus, the sets are all readily available to a teenage kid. This kid will have a future in Hollywood, if not creatively, at least as a grind it out Producer.
-
You can take a crap in a pie tin, light a birthday candle in the middle of it and someone, somewhere, will worship it. Then someone will feel compelled to remake it.
-
So that happened... But seriously, I liked this. And I can't believe that this only cost $100. Those crappy Syfy original movies have less production values than this.
-
impressive.. Weird.. But impressive.
-
As weird as that was, I kinda dug it.
-
Mad props for it. Hopefully he can get something original out and really get some notice.
-
I know a few people who love A Goofy Movie. Of coarse they are at least three years younger then me, so they fit into the right age range. I thought this was hilariously awesome, even though I'm not really a fan of the movie.
-
1. I thought it was awesome, I loved that movie when I was a kid. 2. Stop hating, what have you done? 3. Perhaps this guy should be in charge of making nerd adaption movies seeing as he loves to do scene for scene and holds true to what he's doing. 4. Why so serious?
-
This TOTALLY has my stamp of approval.
-
I actually really thought this was great, I remember when this movie came out. I just find it impressive since it's something that me and my friends would have done back in High School.
-
I... I think I may have had a stroke.
-
I think I was a little old for the Goofy movie (and if this clip is anything to go by, thank Q) but this was actually quite impressively done. Though the 'why?' escapes me.
-
WOW....I was IN LOVE with this movie when it came out.
-
A Goofy Movie came out in 1995, and the kids who first fell in love with it are still in high school and college, and unlike most of us, have not lost their souls and sense of joy to FFF. For that generation, A Goofy Movie is one of the biggest guilty pleasure movies ever. Let them have their fun.
-
Pointless, yes, but I loved A Goofy Movie, and this was kind of cool... I guess.
-
There's a huge crowd of people for whom 'A Goofy Movie' is a cult movie
-
Oh, come on, Rob, lighten up! I like A Goofy Movie, and this rocks, big time...
-
i am stupified .
-
I don't understand why it was done either, but I think it's kind of cool.
-
After eons of war, strife, and being exposed to the horrors of FFF, this kid just saved humanity in my eyes. I loved this.
-
What on Earth would compel you to do this? Were his parents being held hostage by ruthless terrorists? Was some corrupt government agency refusing to give him the antidote to a poison they gave him unless he made it?!
-
Urm...yay? Well at least we know that he has lots of friends, either that or he's incredibly loaded.
-
Few things here: 1) The cardboard Elvis standee representing Powerline killed me. 2) I enjoyed sit-on-my-butt-guy as much as I did when a kid. 3) I enjoyed the toupee-floating bit with the principal. 4) However, if the had gotten Wallace Shawn for this video, I would crown them kinds of all internets. 5) It may not be his fault but the Max kid is sort of punchable. I'd still rather high-five him over this than punch him but still: punchable.

I am without words.
