This is insane, but I confess, kind of awesome in a "Snakes on a Plane" kind of way. Just tell it like it is, Gainax.
I also really want to know who/what 'Garterbelt' is. A kid-sister sidekick? An animal mascot? A Charlie-style boss? Some hapless boy tagged along purely to be sexually frustrated? A robot?
...That's all the anime tropes I can think of off the top of my head for 'third wheel'. Someone help me out.

I don't get why everybody is flipping their shit over this. These aren't the first anime characters named after underwear. Any DBZ fan can tell you that. I'll watch at least the first episode of this, but I'm really not expecting it to be the fanservice smothered PowerPuff Girls that everybody seems to be touting it to become.

The only other reason i can think why they made this is to see if they can set a record on how much questionable, sticky fluid they can plaster on the world's TV during an airing of an episode.

on topic tho, the only way to salvage this travesty is if they involve a Gainax Ending to add into the irony (too lazy for a link, look it up on tvtropes). that would definitely make me want to watch!
