The Dark Tower Opens Its Doors for Javier Bardem

?The role of Roland from The Dark Tower has been offered to Javier Bardem. He hasn’t accepted, and usually I don’t like to post about Hollywood things that are only in talks, but I figured this was big enough news anyways. I still wish Viggo Mortenson had been offered the part, but I can’t blame him for turning down another multi-year epic; also, recent rumors had Christian Bale getting in the wishlist, and I’d rather it be Bardem than Bale if only for unfamiliarity’s sake. I don’t want to watch The Dark Tower and think of Batman, and I don’t want to watch Batman and think of The Dark Tower.
Obviously, this could fall apart — since negotiations apparently haven’t even begun, there’s a pretty decent chance, actually — but assuming this goes through, what do you guys think? (Via /Film)
