Obviously everyone pretty much has a problem with their favorite superheroes getting the anime treatment and hate having japanese characters that don't exist in the X-Men storyline, well onviously its not because it noncanon to the EARTH-616 storyline at all!!!!!!!!!!!!! Obviously the reason they put japanese characters in the story or place them in japan is to reach out to a japanese audience who haven't reall touched on the X-men storyline or just haven't even heard of them, the company doesn't do it for the fuck of it there is always a purpouse,. I've read some America super hero mangas before and I must say some are pretty fucking good, like Batman:Child of Dreams pretty fucking amazing Kia Asamiya did an amazing job in staying true to the Batman lore even though the story had a couple of Japanese characters it still didn't ruin the dark atmosphere that the batman franchise hold. Honestly some of y'all people have to shut the fuck sometimes, even though they are using an already existing property doesn't mean that they're gonna stay all the way true to the storyline, they have to add they're own pszazz to attacrt the audience in the audience. If you don't like what they're doing to your favorite hero or what not then don't FUCKING WATCH IT!!!!!!!!! Nobody doesn't want to fucking hear your obnoxious rambling if they think that the anime is gonna be good.

Tiger and Bunny is awesome. Pretty much a Japanese take on The Incredibles, and a good one at that.
-
Touche.
-
You're implying they were trying at any point?
-
Because some muthafuckers are always trying to stylishly animate other muthafuckers ice skating uphill.
-
Soooooo...anybody else feel like the Japanese studios are just dialing it in to get their contract with Marvel over and done with, and not exactly trying to make a good show anymore?
-
What the fuck is a braid? Are they talking about a little girl's hair style????
-
Well goddamn, why not just make all the X-Men Japanese while they're at it! - And that's why I don't like Anime adaptions of American properties (or vice versa), 'cause they just devolve into self-insertion fanfictions. Only instead of a single new character being inserted, it's the entire country of Japan. - Swear to God if they make an Anime adaption of Captain America and make him Japanese I'm gonna kill someone.

Yes, and it was horriblely offensive and inexcusable. It really shows how skewed the world view of both the teams behind these films/series is. That the target auidience won't watch the finished product unless the main character is of the same skin complexion as themselves. Although I dislike Dragonball and Blade for seperate reasons. DB for whitewashing and Blade for the oh-so obvious thrown in Mary Sue.

If it doesn't have Electra, Daredevil, and Spider-Man fighting the Green Goblin, I'm not interested. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CY_NQmMlBys

The X-Men anime is nearly over already. It has Armor, a pre-existing Japanese girl. It, however, builds the entire season long storyline around Armor's home in Japan and several completely new Japanese characters. I'm pretty sure it is doing a Japanese version of the Legion storyline, no less (with Xavier's never-before-mentioned half-Japanese son by way of his never-before-mentioned fling with the never-before-mentioned Japanese head of the never-before-mentioned Japanese version of Xavier's school for mutants.) It does have the U-Men at the start, but they are a Japanese version of the comics U-Men. Tiger & Bunny I think does a better job of making a super-hero anime than any of the Marvel anime projects, anyway.

All I can think about when I hear the name Makoto is Makoto Itou from the anime School Days, his brutal murder at the hands of his gilted ex-girlfriend, and how his then-girlfriend cut off his head and kept it. So basically it's less fucked up than the Blade anime.
-
Honestly, it's hard for me to get hyped for Blade without Wesley Snipes' "I don't give a shit about any of you disposable chumps" delivery.
-
Blade needs the token local romantic interest: see Blade, Blade II, Blade III.
-
It'd be like if America made a Dragon Ball movie, but with white people.
-
Okay, 2 things. - 1.Why does it have to be an Anime? What's wrong with the animation over here? I mean, besides the fact that SOME PEOPLE have this weird idea that anime is somehow better than American animation (it isn't, neither is objectively better than the other). Marvel keeps putting their superheros in anime, as if that'll somehow make the shows "better." If you want to make the show better, hire better writers. The art style is damn near irrelevant to the plot and quality of the overall product. 2.Seriously, "Makoto?" Are the Japanese so...weird.... that they can't seem to handle making a show without Japanese characters? Hell, even when they do add in non-asian people they're still Japanese. Remember Asuka? The German girl with a Japanese name and asian facial features? I mean, even the new X-men anime is gonna have a token Japanese girl. It wouldn't bother me so much, but this always seems as coming off as pretty damned contrived and the status of main character, inevitabley (can't spell today) becomes said self-insert Japanese girl. It'd be like if a US company remade Death Note, and they gave L an American partner named Chad who is like, totally a better detective and stuff.

If it follows the same pattern as Wolverine and X-Men, we'll get a single story stretched well beyond its worth to fill 13 episodes. It will probably look promising for the first few episodes, but slowly the life and promise will drain from it. We'll also get plenty of new Japanese characters for Blade to interact with, but little if any existing Marvel characters will appear. If it follows Wolverine's pattern, it will be written by someone who has only heard of Blade second-hand, and just makes up stuff to fill in the blanks. (Note Wolverine in his anime having super-strength, super-hearing instead of tracking by scent, and other issues.) If it follows X-Men's pattern, then it will be written by someone who either knows the characters or at least did research to figure out what they can do. On a positive note, it won't have the utter joke that the X-Men anime turned Storm into. Poor girl went from being one of the strongest X-Men in the comics to being the weakest and most useless X-Man ever in the anime. Collapses after using her powers, never hits or affects her target on the rare occasion when she does attack, and spends most of her time doing nothing at all in battle.

Blade just isn’t the same without the tax evasion charges.
-
Not the Blade anime... It's the Boo-radoo anime
-
blade looks more like a bad version of the ultiments nick fury. plus instead of another attempt at a blade film blade fans get this thing when were wolf by night or tomb of dracula would work better in that style.
-
I thought the muddle of that dreadful basic cable series had killed this franchise off?
-
ANOTHER character named van Helsing. Can these fucks get any lazier? Will there be a Boss at the end named 'Cula-Dra'? Maybe a love unrest from the Harker family tree? I'm looking at YOU Alucard/Helsing.
-
I wish Madhaus returned to doing normal anime. This collab with Marvel is entirely too long, one series would be enough.
-
Why Blade? There are other titles that haven't had any attention paid to them which would make cool anime adaptations. We don't need another shitty vampire cartoon.
