Rob needs to suck more of that Whedon Cock for that to be true, though.
-
Are you mental? That's the Blackbird!
-
Naah, more like HA, because he needs to "reload" constantly. >:3
-
That alone should excuse him for the lack of Nazi. XD
-
Given the setting, I'd still much prefer is Hawkeye wears his shades as per his "Ultimates" incarnation. Because glasses and guns are too mainstream nowadays. XD
-
I thought we went over this last time? NEXT. MOVIE! Move along, citizen!
-
Maybe the backstory for "Widow" was that she was a clone of Amelia Earhart?
-
Captain America was freakin' awesome!! What is incredible about all the Marvel Studio films is the fact that they always get the comic book "feel" right. When your watching other studios super hero films, it feels like they're making an "event" picture. With Marvel, it feels like I'm reading a comic book. Watching a Marvel Studio film gives me the same feeling I got when I first watched Superman back in the day. The only phrase I've been able to describe it all with is "Light Gravitas".
-
Anybody else find it a bit lame that all the characters have, in their backgrounds, things that are very important to their story and development (ie. Stark and Pepper, Thor and Loki, etc) and all Black Widow has is....an airplane...and a lot of empty space...?
-
He played Nick Fury in Iron Man that is why my friend :o)
-
background character?
-
Am I the only one who noticed the SHIELD Helicarrier behind Fury and co.? The Helicarrier! Awesome!
-
LOL that salute.... If you are carrying anything important, drop it. You must salute the tomato-head when he walks by.
-
I, for one, could watch Cap bash in HYDRA skulls all damn day. And then all of the next day. Anyone with that dorky of a salute needs a good pummeling.
-
They're obviously Quinjets!
-
Still short of one Ant-Man and one Wasp to be properly assembled
-
At least we got to see Cap punch Hitler over and over and over and over.
-
Yes. It's the body of a Raptor with VTOL ducting(? the Raptor is VTOL capable...) in it.
-
Perhaps so.
-
Yeah. I saw Captain America on its opening day(the first superhero flick I've seen on the day its released) and it was incredible! Glad it did very well.
-
The Red Skull severs his relationship with Hitler early in the film, thus no Nazis. This may connect to Germanies ban on Swastikas in media. Perhaps they hope to show the film there.
-
The Red Skull killed the only 3 Nazis in the flick.
-
I love this poster...but hate the fact Hawkeye doesn't have a mask/hood. Hopefully once the movie comes around that will change, plus I'd like to see Thor actually wear his helmet for a little while too.
-
The wife and I enjoyed Captain America but I have a question. Where were the Nazis? I wanted to see him kick Nazi ass, not some anti-nazi, blue stormtrooper dudes...
-
Being a Cap geek, I love how the the center stripe directly beneath the star is red -- the way it's supposed to be. This movie cannot get here fast enough!
-
It appears to be some kind of VTOL craft.
-
"Coincidentally, "long, horizontal and awesome" also described my penis when first viewing this image." Seriously? what are you? GW?
-
I really like how gnarly Hulk's hands look - kinda ape-like.
-
I already have that honor, but thank you for the thought.
-
yep... Potter had an 80-plus% dropoff in business from Friday to Friday. and that just won me $20 at work today.
-
Hawkeye and Widow each get what appears to be a piece of S.H.I.E.L.D. technology. The helicarrier backdrops Hawkeye and Fury, whilst Widow's backdrop is a plane that was in Iron Man 2 as a piece of tech at the USAF base where Warmachine took his stolen suit.
-
The Cap costume looks GREAT.
-
It isn't abnormal for costumes to change between movies, as costumers try to make outfits more comfortable, more flexible, cooler, easier to put on, cheaper, with tweaked visuals, and/or various other considerations.
-
Behind Cap is also WWII Cap, and behind Iron Man are things like Whiplash (Iron Man 2), Iron Monger (Iron Man 1), the original Iron Man outfit (Iron Man 1)... If the Avenger in question has had a movie already, then behind him are characters and stuff from those movies. In that regard, you should expect to see Red Skull in the Captain America poster.
-
Each costume is slightly different from its film version. Even Thor has a very slightly different Pattern on his chestpierce. Not sure why.
-
I was upset at first about Hank Not being around as well. He iwas a founding member and should be here. After much thinking , I would rather see him fleshed out first in his own film then be a background character in Avengers.
-
Anybody else notice the Red Skull tucked in behind Cap? I find that interesting.
-
I like how all the characters have something in their background that tell you about... well, their backgrounds. Except for Hawkeye and Widow. Who get planes or something.
-
Well, he IS one badass motherf***er, you know.
-
Hopefully not on a windowless van with a "Free Candy" tagged at the bottom of it...
-
It's Whedon. I've had Coulson pegged as dead since I heard about him doing the Avengers. Who knows right? On a side note, is it just me, or does that look like Marlon Brando's Jor-El beside Hulk?
-
I really hope Coulson doesn't die or anything like that.
-
The geek family just watched Iron Man 2 and I see a problem with the poster. They have Iron Man with the round arc coil and not the new triangle "Starkaniam." Is it because they are putting together the classic avengers? Sorry just noticed it now. Also, I was able to use this as my desktop. I selected fit and yes, if you hate big black spaces, don't do it. Yet for me it is worth it. I would love to get the poster set for my son and hang it up in his room. I am so excited to see this movie!!!!
-
While I'm bummed that it looks like no Pym or Van Dyne, I still can't wait for this.
-
Happy (future) B-Day, Miss Silk! Man, I wish I was that lucky. XD
-
I think BobJ deserves a TR shirt :)
-
It's being written as an "introduction" I've heard.
-
Is that your pick-up line for Mrs. Robot once upon a time, Rob? Because if "long, horizontal and awesome" worked for you, then dammit, I'm so using that line the next time I try to pick somebody up. XD Incidentally, I notice the SHIELD Helicarrier right there behind Fury, and you'll have to excuse me if I have to wipe the jizz off my monitor for a sec. XD
-
Kinda cliche... But i wouldn't mind seeing that sprayed on the side of a Van.
-
Why blame doesn't he still want to make it? I thougth he does that one after Pilgrim?
-
Coulson AND Robin Sherbatsky! So cool to see her involved in a poster! I hope they give out more of these posters, because I'd love to have them all lined up in my dorm.
-
Whoo just checked the full release date. It opens on the weekend after my birthday...actually THE DAY after my birthday. ALRIGHT!!!! A Joss Whedon Superhero Flick. Happy Birthday Me!
-
Blame Edgar.
-
Is the Hulk supposed to now look like Mark Ruffalo? Who's in charge of recasting at Marvel Studios?
-
Rob, if your erection lasts for more than 4 hours - brag about it. Going to see Cap here in a few minutes. I was afraid that the loser of the comic book movies this summer was going to be Cap, and I'm glad it wasn't. I'm a GL fan to be sure (still haven't seen it), and I don't like that it tanked, but no one told me good things about it either so....yeah. I do have the full sized version of the banner if anyone is interested - although I suspect we'll see it officially soon.
-
No Hank Pym :(
-
I'm not sure why I'm so excited to see Agent Coulson on the poster in the background, but whatever. This pretty much made me pee my pants in happiness. I want this to be on the walls in my house.
-
All of the individual stories and origins are shown behind each Avenger. They're all totally seperate and unique, yet they all blend together seamlessly, just like the team itself. PHILOSOPHICAL UP IN HERE.
-
Saw CA on Friday, and of course our geek family was one of only a handful of people waiting for the end. When I saw that trailer, I was whooping and clapping. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THIS MOVIE!!! Love this poster put together. Trying to think of a way to print it up.
-
Is it any surprise that Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury looks the most badass of them all?
-
And Captain America beats the weekend projections of 40-60 million and buries Harry Potter's 2nd week. I honestly didn't think CA had a chance to beat HP in week 2......I'm shocked and happy at the same time. Now we'll see how Captain America fares with the international box office next week. http://www.thewrap.com/movies/article/box-office-captain-america-delivers-strong-ending-superhero-summer-658m-29402

First! Also sadly it does not work as a background on my desktop.
