• The bathroom is surprisingly larger than you'd think

• FAB Cafe in Manchester is the closest thing to this, though it's more oriented towards classic 70's and 80's UK TV. While it's a bit run-down now, it has: Flashing TARDIS in  the corner. DJ booth in the shape of the Enterprise's bridge. Full-size Dalek parked beside it. Glass display case with a freshly awakened Cyberman. Lord of the Rings pinball. Signed posters on the wall. The menu offers a selection of Vesta TV dinners, fish finger sandwiches and a little tuck shop that sells Space Raiders and Bikers (corn snacks that were a staple of schoolboys everywhere). Entertainment-wise, it has retro discos where cult TV and movies are played on the little TVs.

• Still cool and cute, though.

• Nah, She was young enough to be my daughter, plus she's a smoker.

• I am at this bar every week. To add to how thorough this bar is in its nerdism, one of the managers there is named Doc (real name) and get this...he builds custom ray guns out!  There are quite a few of his creations behind the bar.  I HIGHLY suggest making this place one of your regular visits if you are in the brooklyn area, the owner and the staff are cool as hell and have good taste in music.  (Anytime you can walk into a bar and they are playing Madvillain, as a nerd, you know you are in the right spot.)

•  Ha -- didn't think  Disqus would think I was typing out HTML there.  Not only is it processing the typing super-slow, but now it's auto-formatting.  It's like commenting using MS Word...

• The fact this place opened *after* I left New York saddened me deeply.

• I met one of the bartenders from this place a few weeks ago while hanging out at another bar where she also bartends part-time. She was very cute, smart (with glasses), knew her Who, and put the stamp on her geek-coolness by whipping out her sonic screwdriver.

• This bar is where I had my first kiss with my current girlfriend. Also, I don't really like Dr. Who...so I don't know where that puts us/me.

• Five blocks from my brother's apartment at Franklin & Union, and only a block away from Tom's Diner?  Yeah, I'll be there in very short order.  And when I get there, I WILL hug the owner.

• So so so so glad I live just North of The City. (Grinning Smugly at everyone who does NOT live within an hour train ride of NYC)

• Hee. I live in a town in Westchester. Its less than an hour drive to Brooklyn for me. The Husband and I will happily tell you about it WHEN we go! 

• ROAD TRIP I've been fortunate enough to have visited the Giger/Alien bar in Switzerland, and I thought that was the coolest geek/nerd bar that I had ever seen. I may be changing my mind about that soon though...

• WHY isn't there anything like this in the UK?! I DEMAND ANSWERS!

• Thanks for the link back! I actually just got home from the way station, they have their once a month burlesque show so there was hot girls and boobs and ass, firefly playing on the tv and a TARDIS chillin in the corner. I want to live there. 

• Brb moving to Brooklyn.

• I've been there. Peeing in the TARDIS is the greatest thing ever.

• Going to watch Book of Mormon in January.  This has been added to my to do list.

• I'm going to assume that the Tardis door opens to a full-size bathroom on the other side of the wall so it is in fact "bigger on the inside."

• I want to go to this place!! If nothing else, but for the opportunity to put "for a good time, call Jack Harkness at...." message in both the men's and ladies rooms.
