Four Score and Seven Quarters Ago: The Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter Arcade Game
Alas, this is not an official movie tie-in, just a well-made representation of what such a game might have been like. However, I am a little concerned that the vampires ol’ Abe is killing… don’t look particularly like vampires. They look just like regular people, albeit regular people who want to punch the President of the United States of America. In fact, the only signifier that these people are undead monstrosities actually comes from the games’ title — because when Abe chops them up, their bodies seem to split apart just like a regular human’s would. Is there some kind of meta-textual interpretation for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter that I was unaware of? Could the vampires be solely in Lincoln’s mind? Is movie really Abraham Lincoln: Axe Murderer? Unsettling. Thanks to Joe McI. for the tip.
