@feenasattaur @D_S_V_A me three. I'll create something so awesome, I can't even imagine it yet
I wish I had thought of something like this. A Polish filmbuff carefully edits together several trailers to end with him walking into the very theater where his girlfriend is unsuspectingly watching a movie and its preshow.
Me...I proposed at a sushi joint by Universal Studios. This is what I wish I'd done.

Okay first - tip woot! but if I can ever corner a woman long enough to pull off a marriage proposal I'm doing the full Darth Vader - gonna produce the ring, go down on one knee and say "Join with me and together we shall rule the galaxy as husband and wife!" maybe conscript some 501st guys to block the exits so as to discourage her from trying to make a run for it until I get the words out. Hey, I can dream.
@FabioRezende @Someguy Ah. Just that it would show the loading icon when I hit post and took around a minute for it to disappear.
@TheWalkingDon Personally, that's my favorite number of times to get married.
@rabidronnie I'm not married anymore and I'm not going to ever marry again.
I've seen a similar one in America, where the guy filmed a trailer of asking the girl's Dad for her hand and it turned out that the entire theater was filled with friends and family in on the secret, ready to throw an engagement party.
@rabidronnie If she'd have said no, it would have been the funniest thing that ever happened. Geeks have it bad, just asking at like a McDonald's or something over chicken McNuggets should be grounds for a justified assassination. You've got to make a show of it to prove yourself. Or just do something particularly unique.
I asked her on the beach during a cloudy day the day after I made her watch the Roger Corman Fantastic Four and the pilot for Justice League (the one where David Ogden Stiers plays J'onn). That she didn't throw me out of the car into the ocean shows she has a sense of humor. We haven't gotten married yet, but that was over a decade ago and we're still together. We're not in a hurry.
all of these awesome proposals get me nervous because they are awesome idea's and i feel like i wont have one this awesome.
@bakaneko718 Unofficially I proposed on the way to the jewelry counter at the mall she and I passed when we visited each other (we were 2 1/2 to 4 hours apart most of the time). Officially after picking up the ring together I proposed in the parking lot of a mall.
Believe it or not proposing is the easy part. I have a friend who proposes in unique ways. I say ways because the marriages don't last that long.
@bakaneko718 Don't you worry my friend because some people want simplicity. Let me tell you, about mine. I proposed to my wife in the driveway of my parent's house in the middle of the afternoon. There was no one around and I mumbled something and to this day I cannot confirm if she said "yes".
@bakaneko718 Merely posting this elicited the question in my home of why I didn't do it this way!
@bakaneko718 Sometimes the story of the spectacular failure is awesome enough.
Husband was going to propose to me at a roller rink (I love skating even though I suck at it), slipping the ring on my finger during some thematically appropriate love song and pulling me into the center of the rink. We drove up to the roller rink only to discover that it was boarded up and abandoned, it hadn't been open for years. He ended up proposing to me at Culver's later that afternoon ^_^ it got the job done.
Considering that neither of my parents REMEMBER how they got engaged, I call the fact that I have a story at all a win.
