Last year it was Star Wars haiku; this year? Write a haiku about ANY CARTOON FROM THE '80s. He-Man. Transformers. G.I. Joe. Thundercats. My Little Pony. Silverhawks. Dungeons & Dragons. She-Ra. Whatever. If it was a cartoon that aired in the '80s, you can write a haiku about it. Hell, you can even write a haiku about watching the cartoons and the Saturday mornings of yore, if you want. Some other important points:
• Everyone can enter as many times as they want.
• If you don't want to do haiku, you can enter a limerick. It better rhyme, though.
• The contest will be open from now until 12:01 am EST on Tuesday, September the 7th -- so you can keep entering on Monday, too.
If there's a way to make more work for myself, I don't know what it is. I've never quite broken the 1,000 comment mark, but I have some hopes for this one; if I do, I'll give away some extra shirts. Deal? At any rate, have a great weekend, see you guys Tuesday morning, and if anyone asks you if you want to play a game with your peehole, please, just say no.

(First I want to say go Team TR for making this possible. We rock. And Rob, I hope you don't go into a drunken coma because of all this. Rob can we all have Team TR shirts because of this?) And a few more limericks to round out the contest. There once was a real ghostbuster named Ray. Who always had long speeches to say. Venkman got the ladies Egon studied hades. and Winston worked for little or no pay. There once was a villain named Krang Living in the Technodrome with the whole gang. He lived in the Dimension X. A place way too complex. And th Turtles he would like to hang. Deep in the Terrordrome lived MindBender. Terrible mental images he would render. Strangely he wore a monocle. Why he did that wasn't canonical. But he enjoyed his work with much splendor. Also in the Terrordrome lurked Major Bludd. He heard his enemies die with a sick thud. He has a sweet eyepatch. Probably due to a corena scratch. But he once shot down Ace with a scudd.
