• Aww c'mon, Scoot! Shaun of the Dead was brilliant in that it was a funny as all hell zombie movie. This just makes it look like all the other zombie movies with the drama and screaming and slow-mo. Still, it's a novel idea, and for that alone it deserves one (severed) thumbs up. X3

• Honestly, I think the music is perhaps the most affecting part of the package. Just the song on its own can give you chills.

• Hear you there-- I got around to borrowing SotD from the library, and was wanting a light-hearted/ black humor satire of zombie fiction. While I definitely got some of that, the last 20 or so minutes had too much of a drastic tonal shift from the earlier comedy. I mean, Shaun's mom doesn't make it, and neither does the friend... and not really in a humorous way (at least for me). Sure, there's the whole little epilogue at the end where the zombified friend now lives in the shed and all surviving zombies are left to do menial labor, but still... the sudden uber-drama made me feel kinda terrible for laughing at most of what happened before.

• When the middle (about where she dies) is at the end it puts the climax near the end of the video instead of the middle. When I saw the video in regular order I didn't find it as compelling. I think the whole thing backwards would have been the same for me. but confusing without adding anything for me (unless the beginning had some surprises). However, for me, the full effect of the original video was lost when I saw it once. not that its' surprising, just didn't know what exactly was going to happen. so that might play a part.

• So where are the forward bits? This is just the movie in reverse. Any monkey could do that.

• did you see the Dead Island trailer re-edited in normal sequence? Just as sad.

• didn't do much to me. the island trailer was a lot worse because it was leading up to the little girls death/infection backwards and forwards. plus sad music. this just had sad music and went backwards. I think it would have been just as sad with the same edit run forward with the sad music.

• This didn't wreck my shit--it fixed it! It's heartbeaking, but in a good way...if that makes any kind of sense. • This video simultaneously made my day and broke my heart, a little. Though I admit to cracking up laughing when I saw the Shaun of the Dead logo at the very end. Yeah, given how popular the source material was/is, this was pretty inevitable.

• I wonder how he got the music without the audio in the trailer. The music is still my favorite part.

• Trailer mashups own. Not sure if I wanna go with a "fixed that for ya," or just repeat, "yeah, I said it." And this running shit backwards from inevitable to innocent thing totally works for me, too.

• " Pretty impressive, given that Shaun is ostensibly a comedy."- All zombie-comedies (Shaun, Zombieland, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies) seem to have this issue. They start off pretty light, but sooner or later they have that "shit got real" moment that changes the whole tone of the story, and not always for the better.
