For the record, I had no intention of doing another Tron-related post today until I saw this spoof ad for the Tron Holiday Special from Funny or Die. I am running it for the following reasons: 1- It perfectly captures the late ’70s/early ’80s variety show and holiday special zeitgeist. 2- Gabe Kaplan equals laughs. 3- It features Rip Taylor throwing cyberglitter. 4- I’m pretty sure they probably really could have got Dan Shor for this. 5- Rob would have me killed if I didn’t.
To say anything more would give away the clip’s numerous wonders. Enjoy.
