Finally, Some G.I. Joe: Retaliation News That Isn’t Overwhelmingly Positive

CobraSpecialForces.com posted what I believe is the first shot of the generic Cobra soldiers of G.I. Joe: Retaliation, and for the first time in months, I’m not overwhelmed with awesomeness. They’re just generic soldiers, and they don’t even have Cobra logos on their helmets — in fact, they seem to feature squares of some sort, which is weird. However, rather than bitching, I’m kind of awed that it this is the first non-positive thing I’ve had to say about Retaliation since Jon M. Chu was first hired. In fact, I kind of love the movie more for taking so long to disappoint me in any way. And it’s such a minor thing! We’re getting a bewilderingly awesome Cobra Commander outfit and Snake Eyes without lips! Who cares about the Cobra troopers? They could be dressed like hobo clowns at this point and I wouldn’t give a shit. (Via ToyNewsI)
