Knight Rider TV Movie Gets Emergency Shot of Val Kilmer

There’s very little doubt that the new Knight Rider TV movie premiering in two weeks will be terrible, but I was looking forward to hearing Arrested Development‘s Will Arnett as the voice of the car, KITT, mostly because I could pretend the car could say thing like “I’ve made a horrible mistake” and play the “Final Countdown” melody when the horn was pressed.

Now even that joy has been taken from me as Val Kilmer has suddenly taken the role of the voice of KITT, with two weeks before the TV movie’s premiere. IGN reports that GMC?whose commercials Arnett’s been voicing for a while (news to me)?has gotten upset that KITT is a Ford Mustang, and had Arnett pull out in the last day or two, despite Arnett having completed his work months ago, plus all this having been known months ago, plus, again, there only being two week until the premiere.

The silver lining is that Val Kilmer has been reduced to voicing KITT in a Knight Rider TV movie.
