Marvel’s Campaigning for Stephen Colbert
We all knew talk-show host Stephen Colbert was tight was Marvel Comics, ever since Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada gave Colbert Captain America’s shield shortly after the good captain kicked it. But it seems things run deeper than we had suspected, as subliminal ads for Colbert’s presidential campaigns are popping up in the scenery and on the background characters of several Marvel comics, including Secret Invasion (above), X-Men, the Amazing Spider-man, and more. There’s clearly only one reason why Marvel would give out free publicity: Colbert has incriminating pictures of Joe Quesada reading Green Lantern. Politics and comics are dirty businesses, my friends.
