Some Genuinely Exciting Gatchaman Concept Art
When a few pics of the upcoming CG Gatchaman movie came out last week, I bitched because hardly any of them showed the characters in costume. Well, someone was listening to me botch, because ToysREvil has a few new concept art pics, which show the five-man team of teenage psychotics, albeit it not in costume. There’s a lot to like about both pics; the upper one does a great job of conveying Joe as the bad boy, what with his leather jacket and being led away by police, and as TRE himself notes, it’s very cool that Tiny is genuinely huge instead of obese, as per the original anime.
As for the lower shot of Jun’s yo-yo and calves, I had forgotten until I saw this shot that I have a huge crush on Jun for no reason whatsoever. I’ve only seen like five episodes of Gatchaman tops, and I have no great fondness for swans, which is the bird she dresses like when she mercilessly slaughters bad guys. I just think she’s hot as hell. Sigh.
