Joe Chill Tends Bar at the Batman Villain Cocktail Bar & Lounge

MySpace has a four-page preview of Neil Gaiman’s “Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader?” two-comic tale, which I believe is supposed to work as a coda to Batman R.I.P., where Batman didn’t die, but also Final Crisis, where Batman also didn’t die, but turned into a caveman or something. Suffice to say, “WHttCC” is a bit of a mind-fuck, although significantly less so than Final Crisis, in that all Batman’s villains are heading to a bar tended by noted Wayne-killer Joe Chill, who I’m 99% sure is dead. Is this happening in Batman’s head? Is it a dream? It is an alternate universe? Is it happening in Grant Morrison’s head? It remains to be seen.
PS — Catwoman’s cat-headed car made me think of the old Batmobile with the bat-head, and Joker’s ridiculous car with its Joker-head. I feel kind of gypped that the Penguin never got a Penguin car, frankly.
