Sam Raimi Is Actually Writing Evil Dead 4

This probably means nothing. I mean, Raimi is still waist-deep inside Spider-man 4, and Bruce Campbell is currently signed to Burn Notice; in his most recent interview with the AV Club, Campbell himself said the movie was unlikely. Besides, Raimi has teased and taunted fans with Evil Dead 4 for more
than a decade at this point, so even if he gets actually finishes a
script, that’s no guarantee a movie is going to be made. Still, I’m pissing my pants in mere joy that there’s any positive movement on the movie. From Cinematical:

So far, he’s seven pages into a script for Evil Dead 4, with brother Ivan, just as he hoped:
“Every time I’m with my brother Ivan, we write another page of it. It’s
in Detroit and in my garage.” Raimi continued: “There’s some dialogue.
Ash being an idiot. Ash taking some abuse. Some character stuff and
then some structure of Act Two. Just other possibilities for things
that could happen. It’s ideas, jokes, things we’d like to see.”

Don’t get your hopes up. It’s probably nothing. But even nothing is pretty exciting when it comes to the possibility of Evil Dead 4.
