Donald Faison is one of the stars of Scrubs (which I’m not ashamed to say I very much enjoy) and a genuinely funny dude. He is also am insane hardcore Star Wars nerd, as evidenced by his recent appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, where he says he’s seen Empire Strikes Back over 300 times. That’s not the important bit. The important bit is when he pitches The Chronicles of Lando Calrissian, starring himself as Lando, running around the galaxy and being awesome. Faison is so into the idea he made a little Lego stop-motion clip of the show to pitch to George Lucas — that’s a shot of it above. He makes all the sound effects, too; watch the whole interview here and be awed. This is all so awesome I can barely stand it.
Seriously. God only knows where Lucas is on the live-action Star Wars TV series, and I am 100% certain that whatever he ends up with won’t be half as good as The Chronicles of Lando. Seriously, George — just send a check $30 million to Faison, and let’s make this thing happen. (Via Star Wars blog)
