E3 Trifecta: Lego Harry Potter, Superhero Squad, Beatles Rock Band

? Yesterday I confused Telltale Games (of Sam & Max fame) with Travelers Tales (of the Lego Star Wars games). My apologies; they’re two great companies who make impossibly fun games, and the double T’s in their names don’t help. While I’m not the biggest Harry Potter fan, I had such a good time playing the Lego SW and Batman games that I might actually pick this up, just because I know I’ll enjoy it.

? You guys remember that a Marvel Superhero Squad cartoon is coming out before too long, right? Looks like the game will hit first, and it’ll be a combination brawler and party fighter, which seems perfect. I know Wii-lovers hate for it to be called the kiddy console, but I think there’s a reason this is coming out for the Wii only.

? I honestly thought I was only pleasantly excited about the Beatles Rock Band game, but then I saw this trailer — with all the great venues, the Beatles in thier varied hairstyles and outfits, the crazy terrifying Magical Mystery Tour outfits, and the three-part harmonies — and frankly, it nearly made me as happy as that Old Republic cinematic below. I’m sure there’s some Beatles haters reading, but please, comment elsewher. I want to nerd out with my fellow Beatlemaniacs, if you don’t mind. Apparently, Abbey Road will be the first full-album download — I can’t tell you how often I’ve dreamed of being able to play “The End” on fake guitar, let alone “I Want You.”
