This quick developer’s diary — which also includes some new gameplay footage and a few character designs — mentions two major additions to the game, which is shopping and the underworld. For the former, you can pick everyone’s pocket, and buy whatever weapons and tools you need at any point. For the latter, you hang with thieves, “courtesans” and mercenaries, who help you by distracting or outright fighting the city guards, and you help them with missions. I’m pretty damn excited, because I really, really liked the first Assassin’s Creed, and the sequel looks like a marked improvement. But I also love this video for pretty much saying “we’ve added money and whores to the game” and no one in the video seems to have noticed.
