Colin, a Zombie’s Tale
So Joedono sent me the link to this movie, and yes, I know it’s called Colin, which is more than a little hilarious, but get this — it’s a small Welsh indie zombie film, but told entirely through the zombie’s perspective. Kinda cool, right? The trailer doesn’t do the best job conveying that aspect, so here’s a bit of the press release:
Our hero Colin is bitten by a Zombie; he dies and returns from the dead. We follow him as he wanders through suburbia during the throes of a cadaverous apocalypse.
Shot at locations in both Wales and London, COLIN has more than its fair share of gore, along with several ambitious set pieces including a broad daylight zombie vs. human street battle and an epic housebound siege. It is also an exploration of who Colin was when he was alive through the objects, places and people he becomes attached to. The make-up design is beautifully realised. Humans are sweaty and dirty whilst the zombies are blood-stained and full of character.
I’m intrigued, to say the least. And bully to these guys for trying something new with the zombie film. Here’s the official website; it doesn’t appear that Colin is playing in the States yet, but if you guys know something that I don’t, keep me posted.
