TR’s Heroes Live-Blog 2-5: Who Wants to See a Magic Trick?

I know I promised to stop announcing the TR Heroes live-blog (which just happens to begin tonight at 7:50pm EST, as per usual) but mighty TR
commenter Manobon sent me the above screenshot for tonight’s episode,
and I just had to share it with the rest of the class. I can’t think of
a picture that is more indicative of the Heroes TV show —
we’re hoping for a show about normal people with extraordinary
powers… and instead we get a pudgy nerd in a hospital gown doing
shitty magic tricks for kids while holding a bed pan. If the bedpan
were full of urine, it might be more apt, but I certainly think it
still works (and hey, it’s entirely possible someone pees in the bedpan
in another scene, possible while The Cellist shoots a few more
rainbows, in case we haven’t quite figured out her power yet). Anyways,
if you can stand the anticipation of tonight’s bedpan antics, I’ll see
you at 7:50pm.
