Thor Defeats Spider-Man

?‘Tis true! the god of thunder has bested known threat and/or menace Spider-Man, and claimed the weekend of May 6th, 2011, for his own. Recently there have been rumors that the Spidey 4 movie was being pushed back after director Sam Raimi had problems with the script, which were confirmed when Sony took Spidey off their schedule for that weekend. Marvel immediately moved the Thor movie, originally scheduled to be released on May 20th, onto the earlier spot. Then Pirates of the Caribbean 4 moved into Thor‘s spot. And something probably moved into it’s spot, and so on and so forth.

I guess the real news is that Spider-Man 4 has definitely been delayed, which, in my humble opinion, can only be a good thing. I mean, if Raimi didn’t have problems with the Spidey 3 script, then the Spidey 4 screenplay must have just been the phrase “ALL WORK AND NO PLAY MAKES STAN LEE A DULL BOY” repeated 10,000 or so times.
